WRLEM TV: Tales of Wells Fargo

Recently we were watching "Time Tunnel" on Hulu and they had a baby Robert Duvall playing a heavy. He was in his twenties at the time. It is always fun to watch  an old episodic TV show and some famous actor has a bit part when he is just starting out.

Anyway there  was a character actor in one of the episodes of Time Tunnel that we couldn't place and I looked him up on IMBD. This guy named Harry Lauter played a bad guy on just about everyone of my favorite shows from when I was a kid. Gunsmoke. Bonanza The Big Valley. The Virginan. Ironside. Mannix. Cannon.  Gomer Pyle. Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. Rawhide. Ozzie and Harriet. Peter Gunn. Have Gun Will Travel.  Just about everything I ever enjoyed watching.

One of my new things to do is catch these old shows on Youtube. Most of them are available because I guess the studios don't care anymore. So as I was reviewing his IMBD I noticed that he appeared on an old favorite. "Tales of Wells Fargo." When I looked it up on Youtube there were entire seasons. This is the first episode of the very popular series. A famous TV cowboy has a bit part. I am sure you know who he is. This was in between times of playing for the Dodgers and the Boston Celtics. He was one busy bastard.

Anyhoo. Enjoy Western fans!

I know Ed will get a kick out of it.

Kill Moose and Squirrel

Fearless Leader: For more then 50 years we have struggled and failed. We've used every means in our power with nothing to show for it but pain and humiliation. And yet our mission continues. That mission is kill Moose and Squirrel! In only that way can we defeat the Americans. Well it's no more Mr. Nice Guy!
Natasha: But Fearless Leader.
Boris: Ahem hello? Fearless Leader why must we kill Moose and Squirrel? Why do we want to get Trump elected? What about all those years of pain and humiliation? You can pay them back by having Hillary become President.
Fearless Leader: Too be honest i haven't had that much pain and humiliation. Yours the ones of the field my life's been pretty sweet. I went to see U2 last week and those guys have still got it.
Natasha: But Fearless Leader we have tried everything. Dynamite, scorpions dynamite tied to scorpions. Electing a black man. Taking over CNN and NBC. Forcing gay marriage and transgender bathrooms down the throats of normal people. Everything timed into destroying America and normal people.
Boris: Painting tunnels on sides of buildings.
Fearless Leader: But guess what? I put my evil genius mind to work and at last i have the answer. To catch Moose you must become moose! I give you the lady moose-bot a perfect killing machine and irresistible to Moose! So contact Michelle Obama. She does not need a suicide vest.  Attach a bomb to her enormous vagina. Badanov you will control the moose-bot then when they least expect it you will kill Moose and Squirrel!

E True Hollywood Stories

The plight of homeless Hollywood celebrities has long been a scandal. Everyone from Natalie Cole turning tricks for crack to Joanie Cunningham selling herself for Meth have been swept under the rug in todays celebrity culture. You never see this on TMZ or Entertainment Tonight.

Perhaps the worst cases of all are to be found in Cartoon town. There is usually no going back for a Cartoon Character who loses his show. They are all of them one trick ponies. Especially My Little Pony. Once you lose your show it doesn't matter how many Japanese school girls wear your underwear. In case after case these toons have fallen on hard times. Top Cat has to live in garbage cans instead of just eating out of them. Penelope Pittstop walked the streets on Hollywood Boulevard  to pay for her heroin addiction. Magilla Gorilla had to marry a Kardashian. Still none of them had fallen as far as Mickey Mouse's pal Goofy.

Goofy had led a charmed life. As Mickey's best friend he got to travel and live large on Disney's dime. It all came to an end and Goofy was cast out on the street. He became homeless and lived out of a shopping cart performing sex acts for dog biscuit money. You see his fall came about because of sex. Everything went away after that faithful day when Mickey discovered that his  fiancé Minnie had gone insane. You see she was fucking Goofy.

Ponce de León an aging nation turns it's eyes to you!

Scientists may have just unlocked a real ‘fountain of youth’

New York Post By Joshua Rhett Miller December 16, 2016

Scientists have reversed signs of aging in mice, increasing their lifespan by 30 percent -– a finding that researchers believe could one day increase the life expectancy of humans.
The Salk Institute for Biological Studies in California announced Friday that scientists there are literally “turning back time” through a process known as cellular reprogramming, ultimately extending the animal’s lifespan from 18 weeks to 24 weeks – and without accumulating typical hallmarks of aging.
“Our study shows that aging may not have to proceed in one single direction,” Juan Carlos Izpisua Belmonte, a senior author of the paper and a professor at Salk’s Gene Expression Laboratory, said in a news release. “It has plasticity and, with careful modulation, aging might be reversed.”
The findings, which Belmonte claims indicate aging may be something doctors will one day be able to manipulate, appeared Friday in the journal Cell. Researchers say it’s the first time cellular reprogramming – a process that allows scientists to convert any cell into what are known as induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) – extended the lifespan of a live animal.

Library cat outlasts councilman that wanted him gone

A city councilman is out -- and the beloved library cat he tried to chase off gets to stay,CBS Dallas/Fort Worth reports.

Elzie Clements’ final meeting as a member of the White Settlement City Council was Tuesday night. Clements tried to have Browser, the city’s docile grey tabby library cat, fired this past summer.

Browser got his job at the White Settlement Public Library when he was just a kitten. That was in October of 2010, the library’s website says. He was recruited from a local animal shelter as an inexpensive, effective method of pest control.

In July, a city worker apparently demanded Browser’s removal after the worker was not allowed to bring a puppy to work at City Hall. Two-legged library workers were outraged, and many people who use the library often said that they were unhappy with Bowser’s dismissal.

"You may not know us, the people beyond your borders, but we know you."

Every foreigner thinks that. You know us so well by our movies! You say so. And one trip here makes you top expert on all things American. You say so. Yet the extreme poverty you notice that lodges in your mind comes as a surprise to you. You say so. And you fail to make the connection that is the reason for Trump. I say so.

The post's title is drawn from a missive posted by Lisa Pryor on the opinion page of NYT, here, with its own title, "Dear America, why did you let us down?" We didn't let you down, Lisa, why are you letting us down with your lame mal-informed weak elegy hosted by the propaganda arm of the DNC, chief supporter of intrusive corrupted government? Huh?

It's sickening, actually, this American voter has no patience left for American political opinion delivered by non-rhotic accent. Yeah, your accent bugs me. Foreigners who barely speak the same language are not nearly so smart nor perceptive as they imagine themselves yet they insist on banging on about all that they know present to them spoon-fed by their own state media. I don't hear Americans chiming in on Australian politics, British politics, nor Canadian politics, yet to a person they all imagine themselves more informed than American voters by the things that they gather via "osmosis" as Lisa puts it, and by their one trip to the U.S. that presumably sampled all fifty states.
The election of Mr. Trump feels like a sudden plunge after a gradual decline. Already he is goading China, befriending President Vladimir V. Putin, disregarding climate change and refusing daily intelligence briefings because he’s “a smart person.” None of this, we fear, will end well for any of us.
Oh for Christ's sake, Lisa, calm yourself. Our political reality is actually, get this, none of your business, as yours is none of our business, and your overwrought misdirected anguish does not make it so.
Earlier this year, Australia’s Department of Defense outlined the long-term outlook for our defense and security, emphasizing that the relationship between the United States and China will continue to be the most strategically important factor in the region.
Then,
And no longer can it be assumed that Australia will always pick the United States over China, if forced to choose.
Ha! Good luck with that. Get over yourself, Lisa, you're making yourself look stupid. Nearly so foolish as Democrats in their efforts to pervert Electoral College, to steal the election, again, and Democrat backers imagining they bought this election fair and square left dazed that their money did not affect politics as they insist Citizens United allows, and Obama insisting Russia has aught to do with our election results, having ridiculed Romney in the debates that the 80's called to say it wants its Russia obsession back, and going out the way he came in with women fainting in his presence, and Michelle going out precisely the same way she came in by using her lofty position by marriage having earned nothing by her own agency, to denigrate America and, seeing only Democrats as valid Americans, casting Americans as having lost hope.

Even as our fundamental hope-meter, the one that measures people putting their money where their hopes are, soars toward 20,000 points.

But we should  be mates and be of good cheer.  Here, Stupid, let's hold hands and together watch Trump's penultimate "thank you" rally. Soon we will not have this top television show to enjoy. He'll be too busy to rally. Unlike Obama who never ceased campaigning, the one thing he can do. You did say that you know us by our media, wouldn't do to leave out anything so important a gauge as this. Which upload shall we watch? Goodness there are a lot of them covering this one event. Oh! Let's watch the one on the Trump TV Network. He always says the same thing, like a well-practiced sermon, very uplifting especially if your religion is government.

Bummer....one of the wifes favorite shops burned down this cold day!

One of our favorite things to do in the summer is to go out east. Which means visiting our friends who have a house in the Hamptons and hanging out at our favorite bed and breakfast at Seatuck. On our way back and forth we always stop in Sag Harbor.

They had a terrible fire that destroyed a couple of buildings on the main drag including the movie theater and the wife's favorite consignment shop. This joint has a bunch of stuff that celebrities sell like Chanel and Prada bags that have never been used. They get them in swag bags and then sell them. Still pricey but not what pay bust out retail. The lady that owns it was very nice and was formerly a garmento like us so we have a lot of stories to tell when we visit.

Whistleblower: So called Russian hack was really a leak

A group of retired senior intelligence officials, including the NSA whistleblower William Binney (former Technical Director, World Geopolitical & Military Analysis, NSA), have posted an open letter on consortiumnews.comthat destroys the Obama administration's "Russian hacking" narrative. Within the letter, Binney argues that, thanks to the NSA's "extensive domestic data-collection network," any data removed remotely from Hillary Clinton or DNC servers would have passed over fiber networks and therefore would have been captured by the NSA who could have then analyzed packet data to determine the origination point and destination address of those packets. As Binney further notes, the only way the leaks could have avoided NSA detection is if they were never passed over fiber networks but rather downloaded to a thumb drive by someone with internal access to servers.

NYT: A ‘Stonehenge,’ and a Mystery, in the Amazon

“I had no idea that I was discovering the Amazon’s own Stonehenge,” said Mr. da Silva, 65, on a scorching October day as he gazed at the archaeological site located just north of the Equator. “It makes me wonder: What other secrets about our past are still hidden in Brazil’s jungles?”

After conducting radiocarbon testing and carrying out measurements during the winter solstice, scholars in the field of archaeoastronomy determined that an indigenous culture arranged the megaliths into an astronomical observatory about 1,000 years ago, or five centuries before the European conquest of the Americas began.

Their findings, along with other archaeological discoveries in Brazil in recent years — including giant land carvings, remains of fortified settlements and even complex road networks — are upending earlier views of archaeologists who argued that the Amazon had been relatively untouched by humans except for small, nomadic tribes.

Instead, some scholars now assert that the world’s largest tropical rain forest was far less “Edenic” than previously imagined, and that the Amazon supported a population of as many as 10 million people before the epidemics and large-scale slaughter put into motion by European colonizers.

3rd Rock From the Sun

I forgot how fantastic this show is. And it reminds what a great comic foil Jane Curtain is.

In this episode Curtain is invited to Chicago to accept an anthropologist award. Her trip is ruined right off by Lithgow being invited to the same award presentation, on the same flight. The trip is disrupted by a storm. Lithgow gets them kicked off the plane by recognizing the plane as a death trap and creating a scene. They decide to drive and they get snowed in at a small diner. Lithgow complains to a table of truck driver types about Curtain's unresponsiveness to him. They advise Lithgow to listen carefully to what Curtain wants and then give it to her. Curtain likes to sing show tunes.

Fed raises interest rate a quarter-point

"Janet Yellen’s decision Wednesday to raise interest rates highlights the major problem with the US economy. It isn’t simply that the economy is growing too slowly. The big problem is that the economy is broken.

Ever since the Great Recession of 2008, the economy hasn’t been functioning the way it ought to and hasn’t been reacting to stimuli as it should. And now it has left the Fed and elected officials few choices.
The economy is a truck with no wheels. A car without a transmission. A canoe that’s up a creeká, with no paddle.
Fed Chair Yellen had to deal with that Wednesday, when the Federal Reserve decided to raise interest rates despite that economic growth in the US this year has been mediocre — at best.
The Fed announced a quarter-point rate hike and promised/threatened another three hikes in 2017. (Don’t count on those. As has often happened in the past, the economy is likely to be growing too slowly to make good on the hikes.)
Don’t get me wrong — Yellen had to raise rates. For one thing, the Fed is merely catching up to the financial markets, where rates have already risen significantly.
A rate hike was also needed because the Fed’s near-zero rate policy for the past eight years is strangling savers and turning everyone into a stock market junkie, which is OK while equities continue to rise but awful when they ultimately fall.
Another reason for the rise: Without a rate hike now, the Fed will be powerless when the economy dips again. Hence, it was necessary so that borrowing costs — at least those influenced by the Fed — have room to be reduced.
If not for those reasons, the Fed wouldn’t even be thinking about boosting rates in the current environment..."

"Yahoo discloses hack of 1 billion accounts"

The company disclosed today that it has discovered a breach of more than one billion user accounts that occurred in August 2013. The breach is believed to be separate and distinct from the theft of data from 500 million accounts that Yahoo reported this September.

Troublingly, Yahoo’s chief information security officer Bob Lord says that the company hasn’t been able to determine how the data from the one billion accounts was stolen. “We have not been able to identify the intrusion associated with this theft,” Lord wrote in a post announcing the hack.

“The stolen user account information may have included names, email addresses, telephone numbers, dates of birth, hashed passwords (using MD5) and, in some cases, encrypted or unencrypted security questions and answers,” Lord added.

Yahoo was alerted to the massive breach by law enforcement and has examined the data with the help of outside forensic experts. The data does not appear to include payment details or plaintext passwords, but it’s still bad news for Yahoo account holders. The hashing algorithm MD5 is no longer considered secure and MD5 hashes can easily be looked up online to discover the passwords they hide.

Yahoo says it is notifying the account holders affected in the breach. Affected users will be required to change their passwords.

Analyzing Bob Dylan's 2016 Christmas Lights

This has become an annual tradition -- a time when Dylan watchers anxiously await the fates in the lights. Merrill Markoe released her analysis of Bob Dylan's Christmas lights. Here are some highlights.

An "N" shape is seen in the string:

I've seen clearer "N's" embedded in kid's pajamas.

Deeper analysis of the string reveals various clues to Bob's quixotic response to the Nobel Prize Committee; begin down in the lower left with 1 and follow through to 21 (number 11, lol):

flaca mala

I couldn't make out all the words to the song, but I know that flaca means "skinny" by a Spanish television show called "El Gordo y La Flaca" hosted by a fat man and a thin woman, Raúl De Molina and Lili Estefan. And of course mala means "bad" (female).

I'm watching Dexter on Netflix, a great show right from the start that gets better and better and more engrossing as it goes. I Just now rated it five stars and saw the rating go from three stars to five stars just like that. And that makes me think Netflix is showing me my own rating and no longer showing me overall rating.

Dexter's sister is in the same police unit as Dexter so that complicates his activities. At times I wonder if the writers hate women because most of the episodes center on all the insane difficulties that women in Dexter's life bring to him, bearing down on him getting all up in his space, hounding him. His mother's death caused his psychopathy, his sister is too close for comfort at work, his girlfriend is essentially a series of problems for him from start and throughout, back and forth, his rehab partner is a damaged psychopath too, like himself,  whom he eventually kills and viewers see this coming ten miles away, his female boss gets too close for comfort hovering over his work.

I'm at the end of Season 3 episode 3 where his sister interrogates one of her informants who resists her aggressive questioning. She shoves the informant into a bathroom and he challenges her by lighting up a joint. She arrests him or else he'd never respect her authority and she'd forfeit him as informant. Her boss pressures her to let him go. She does. Then she mets up with him again approaching with contrition in an attempt to start over. He tells her that he's sorry too, that he's been thinking about her. In fact, he wrote a song for her but he's not finished with it yet. He gets up to perform.

I'm curious about the lyrics. Why does the girl on the dance floor say, "Ha! So you're the mean skinny bitch?"  I heard "(something) skinny bad (woman)."

I love the internet.

All I had to do was inquire [flaca mala] and boom, the answer explodes on the screen. I didn't even have "Dexter" in my inquiry. Right at the top of results, "Anton's Song (Puta Flaca Mala) : Dexter - Reddit"

Es... puta flaca mala
Eso es exactamente lo que es
Te ata por los cojones y despues
Te arrastra a la cárcel Se reirá por todo el camino de ti porque
Puta flaca mala
Puta flaca mala
Puta flaca mala
Puta flaca mala
Hey!

She is... a skinny mean bitch
That's exactly what she is
She grabs you by the balls and then
She drags you off to jail
She'll laugh at you all the way
Because
Skinny mean bitch
Skinny mean bitch
Skinny mean bitch
Skinny mean bitch
Hey!

The show is loaded with fine touches like this. The dry humor throughout is impressive.

See? It's not just me grabbed by this show. YouTube has this scene in Spanish. Check out the comments over there on YouTube. People are appreciative this scene is uploaded, the English version, less so the Spanish version.

I wonder why the show is not rated higher. It's one of the best shows that I've seen. And this is just one extra element, an extra little touch that is not crucial to plot development and yet it is so well done. Catchy tune. People are saying they want the whole song. Here, by Roby Santini. There are several uploads to YouTube.

Speaking of... you needn't wait or search for the proper recording to have it. You can copy the YouTube address and then type [youtube to mp3] in your browser and several results will appear for sites that will ask you to enter the YouTube address for the music video and then convert it to an mp3 file and download it to your computer's "download" file. Click on the new mp3 file in your downloads  file and it will be automatically picked up and copied into your i-Tunes program if you have that in your applications. Then you can drag the copy in downloads to the trash. It's a handy way to grab music that you cannot find in Amazon or in iTunes store.

While I'm on it I should mention an Android app that I've found more useful than expected. It's called "Shazam," a free app. It works well even for slow people like myself. I'll hear a song on television that I like, or on some internet site, grab the phone, open Shazam and tap the button and the app listens for ambient music then identifies the song. So far with 100% success. It's very fast. It's worked on the first few notes, like "Name That Song" two notes, bang! The song is identified. I've found a lot of music this way, available on Amazon prime, or to buy on Amazon or on iTunes or to download from YouTube the way described.

This is why everyone hates the media.

So  you remember the story I posted about Santa Claus and the dying kid in the hospital? It seems it was published all over the place the last couple of days. It seems the media can't wait to piss all over it.

Lately I have been following this website called Mediate. They have a story where they say that this story is a big bag of bullshit. Or that it might be bullshit but they don't know. They didn't do any investigation before they published this debunking of the story. They just say it is fake news and not true. Why didn't they investigate it they thought it was a lie? It is because they are lying lazy sacks of shit. This is what the main stream media is all about. They don't investigate anything anymore. They don't go to the source. Use shoe leather. They just spout off nonsense from their computer. Just like you and me.

Mediate is a good site to go to if you want to start your heart off in the morning. At least if you are Trump fan. They have story after story that attack Trump and his voters from the perspective of the lying scum mainstream media. It is like Howie Kurtz  on steroids.

As far as the article goes the mook does ask good questions. We just can't expect the main stream media to find the answers. I hope some blogger looks into it. Maybe we can find out if the story is true or not.

I know we will never find out from the main stream media.

One potato....two potato.....one thousand potato?

Man eats nothing but potatoes for a year

New York Post By Olivia Lambert,December 14, 2016

This year, Andrew Taylor ate nothing but potatoes.
It was an extreme diet that at first was criticized. Some said it was an unhealthy approach to weight loss; others believed there was no way he’d last 12 months. But almost one year later, the Australian has proved you can survive on nothing but potatoes.
He vowed on Jan. 1 he would touch nothing but the starchy vegetable, and Taylor has lost more than 100 pounds and says he is a completely changed man.
“I was clinically depressed last year and eating potatoes has really helped me with that,” he told news.com.au.
“I am not taking any antidepressants and I feel like I’m completely over that and I’m sleeping better, too.
“Over the past 10 years, I’ve had joint pain from football injuries, but that’s gone away. Eating only potatoes has improved my life in more ways than I could ever imagine.”
Taylor, a Melbourne resident, confessed at the beginning of the year he had an addiction to food.

Madonna disses early defender Camille Paglia

"During [Madonna's] speech [at the Billboard Women in Music event] on Friday, the 58-year-old recalled wishing for a female peer at the start of career and specifically called out Camille, claiming that the famous writer said she 'set women back' by objectifying herself sexually. However, in 1990 it was Camille who hailed Madonna a 'true feminist'.

...Although Madonna claimed in her speech that Camille opposed her and her music, the writer argued that she was 'Madonna's first major defender, when she was still considered a pop tart and a sham puppet created by shadowy male producers.'

Camille went on to reference her 'ultra-controversial' 1990 New York Times op-ed, 'Finally, a Real Feminist', in which she celebrated Madonna for embracing sex, beauty and Hollywood glamour.

'I was widely attacked for my finale, which was dismissed as preposterous but which in fact came true: "Madonna is the future of feminism".'

Camille still cites Madonna as 'one of the most creative and influential women artists of the modern era', but she argued that the singer's 'artistic development has been stalled for 20 years' an she has become a 'prisoner of her own wealth and fame'.

'It is truly tragic to see Madonna descend into embarrassing displays of maudlin self-pity and irrational accusations against others,' Camille added. 'She is turning into a horrifying combination of delusional, vampiric Norma Desmond and bitter Joan Crawford on the bottle.'

In her speech, Madonna also spoke about ageism, explaining that for women, 'to age is a sin' and they will be criticized, but Camille stated that the singer's 'number one issue' on her path of self-destruction is her 'embarrassing inability to deal with aging'.

Camille noted that while Madonna's role model, Marlene Dietrich, retained her class and style until her death, the singer is making a fool of herself 'with vulgar displays while trying to remain youthful.

...Last May, Madonna wore a breast and buttock-baring Givenchy outfit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art Gala, and while she said the controversial ensemble was a 'political statement' fighting ageism and the notion that women can't be sexy at a certain age, Camille firmly disagreed.

'She has become a cringe-making pastiche of ratty blonde hair extensions and artificially swollen cheeks, obscuring the magnificent classic bone structure that made her one of the most photogenic celebrities of the 1990s,' Camille said.

This Christmas, give the gift of a blameless life to someone you love

Do you want to be a good person but find yourself always falling short?

It may not be your fault. These days it is difficult to feel like a good person. In fact the harder you try, the more you may feel like a failure.

The calls on our moral attention are multiplying at an extraordinary rate. We are living through a perfect storm of social justice movements, activist NGOs, an unusually plausible pope, and a flood of academic moral philosophers trying to write for the public. Globalisation means that we have to take account of the furthest implications of our actions. The internet and social media spread the news of our ever increasing obligations and strike down those who sin without mercy.

Everywhere we turn there are people demanding that we take moral responsibility for ever more features of our lives. Almost everything we do turns out to be involve a moral choice, or more than one, in which the deepest principles are at stake. If you're an egalitarian, how come you help your kids with their homework? If you're against child-slavery, how come you still eat chocolate? If you're against racism, aren't you ashamed that you enjoy ‘white privileges' like not being afraid when the police pull you over? And so on. Want to put milk on your breakfast cereal? There's a moral philosopher out there who wants you to read about murdered baby cows first.

Enough! These demands would challenge the forbearance and commitment of a saint. Trying to satisfy them all would leave no room for living your own life.

But it gets worse. Although they are presented as moral challenges, as tests of your moral character, many of these demands are actually moral puzzles with no right answer. Flying to Ireland to visit your sick grandmother, perhaps for the last time, is absolutely the right thing to do. But it's also absolutely the wrong thing to do. Or don't you care about the environment and justice for future generations?

Being a good person isn't enough. You just can't win no matter how hard you try!

Our moral philosophy experts have analysed the problem. Here's what they say:

The increasing moralisation of mundane choices is strongly associated with the phenomenology of interminable inescapable guilt. The cognitive dissonance resulting from this has been shown in laboratory experiments on white middle-class American college students to reduce rather than increase levels of moral motivation and integrity (Etal et al. 2013; Reckless and Shrew 2014; Southpark series 19). It is suggested that this effect results from an overextension and personalisation of moral responsibility. Survivors of the experiments professed to believe for example that the well-being of children in Cote d'Ivoire, the biodiversity of rainforests thousands of miles away, and even the survival of future generations all somehow depended on their choices. Yet when questioned as to what that exactly meant they were unable to explain further than 'being aware'.

In plain English, If everything we do is wrong why bother even trying to do the right thing?

T vocabulary seen online

Temporize, tendentious, terrapins, thrombosis, torrefaction, torrid, tremulous, trenchant, tumid, tumescence, turpitude, are the easy ones, the rest are too strange to use even in crossword puzzles. And yet writers online did use them. Here they are.

* taggant: a nonreactive substance added to an explosive that may be traced if the explosive is used for unlawful purposes.

* tampion: a wooden stopper for the muzzle of a gun.

* tant pis: too bad

* taphonomy: the study of decaying organisms over time and how they become fossilized (if they do).

* tardation: the act of retarding or delaying.

* tardigrades:  also known as water bears or moss piglets, are a phylum of small invertebrates. (they look like manatees with stubs for legs)Tardigrada, meaning "slow stepper” reproduce via asexual (parthenogenesis) or sexual reproduction and feed on the fluids of plant cells, animal cells, and bacteria. They are prey to amoebas, nematodes, and other tardigrades. Some species are entirely carnivorous! They’ve adapted to stress by cryptobiosis, a state of metabolic reversible standstill. Can stay inactive for a hundred years, have been observed engaged in sex for an hour and can withstand radiation.

* tarpaulin: (tarp in American English[1]) is a large sheet of strong, flexible, water-resistant or waterproof material, often cloth such as canvas or polyester coated with urethane, or made of plastics such as polyethylene. In some places such as Australia, and in military slang, a tarp may be known as a hootchie. Tarpaulins often have reinforced grommets at the corners and along the sides to form attachment points for rope, allowing them to be tied down or suspended.
Inexpensive modern tarpaulins are made from woven polypropylene; this material is so associated with tarpaulins that it has become colloquially known in some quarters as polytarp.

* Tasaday: an indigenous people of the Philippine island of Mindanao. They are considered to be Lumad along with the other indigenous inhabitants of the island. In the 1970's it was thought that the Tasaday was a remnant of a stone age culture. Today that status is widely considered a hoax, although controversy remains.

* teleology: the explanation of phenomena by the purpose they serve rather than by postulated causes. Theology, the doctrine of design and purpose in the material world. The study of design or purpose in natural phenomena. The use of ultimate purpose or design as a means of explaining phenomena. Belief in or the perception of purposeful development toward an end, as in nature or history. An argument on the existence of God or a creator based on perceived evidence of order, purpose, design, or direction — or some combination of these — in nature. The word "teleological" is derived from the Greek word telos, meaning "end" or "purpose". Teleology is the supposition that there is purpose or directive principle in the works and processes of nature. Immanuel Kant called this argument the Physico–theological proof

The Democrats are going to lose it as the God Emperor changes the paradigm to one of Class and Americanism! What will they do now when all the peasants revolt?

President Trump has reached out to the black community many times during the campaign. While offering the chance to buy into the American dream by offering jobs..... he has in no uncertain terms demanded respect for law and order and law enforcement. People like Jim Brown and Ray Lewis have the street cred to talk about how you have to obey the law first. You don't get jammed up as a stupid skell if you want to do something with your life. If he can offer good jobs to this community he will make massive electoral inroads that will make the Democrats kill themselves.

British flag

I'm watching Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell on Netflix and the character Strange is with Lord Wellington in a tent casually answering questions about what type of magic that Strange can produce that might be of use to Wellington. Presumably this is war with Napoleon, possibly even Waterloo. Wellington asks, "Can you kill a man with magic?"

Strange answers, "Another magician could but not a gentleman."

The next scene Strange lays hands on the hillside and the smaller rocks of uniform size shake out of the ground and rattle upward to assemble into a sort of macadam road.

I've never seen the flags in the background. They're new to me and BBC is great at this type of thing. But something seems wrong.

Now, I'm no vexillologist but the propellers seem to be spinning the wrong direction, the thick white diagonal bands are on the wrong side of the thinner red diagonal bands. I believe the flag is displayed backwards. I hate when the flag is displayed backwards. Don't you? Every British schoolboy would know this but you still see it sometimes, even in modern photos of British barracks in places like Afghanistan, and it's disconcerting because they're fighting for their country represented by their flag but treated as mere decoration. Am I wrong? I've never seen this flag with castle in the center and I don't know the evolved flag convention. The only thing that I'm going on is the propeller effect that occurs by the white bands that appear to spin backwards. Then, who am I to challenge the renowned scholars at BBC?

Eh, this site has it the same way with red edge on the right. Maybe it's a thing that changes in war like the Japanese flag changes. Maybe it's a style choice. And then, maybe the site is wrong too.

I'm with him.

Kanye explains why he met with Trump

New York Post By Bob Fredericks December 13, 2016

Screwball rapper Kanye West — just weeks after being released from a hospital for a mental breakdown — met with Donald Trump on Tuesdayand later suggested he was delaying his own quixotic presidential run until the president-elect serves eight years.
“#2024,” tweeted West, who had earlier claimed he would run for the White House in 2020.
“I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change,” he wrote in a series of four tweets, his first since Oct. 21.
“These issues included bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums, and violence in Chicago,” he said, referring to his adopted hometown.

(You are getting a class in master trolling by the God Emperor of the Cherry Blossom Throne. First he cancels the press conference where the media was waiting to savage him on the phony Russian hacks and who he rents his hotel rooms to so they can fill up their fake news TV shows and newspapers. He said screw that I am going to hang with my peeps Kanye.  The pompous gasbags in the media are losing it. They can't believe it. Regular people  are laughing their ass off.

I think he should take Kanye under his wing. Why should the Democrats be the only party with people with mental problems. I would set up Kanye to run for Senator from California next time around.

Next up Snookie and Jwow are coming by to model some bikini's.)

"[Penn] Students remove Shakespeare portrait in English dept., aiming for inclusivity"

"The Cultural Revolution, formally the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution, was a sociopolitical movement that took place in the People's Republic of China from 1966 until 1976. Set into motion by Mao Zedong, then Chairmanof the Communist Party of China, its stated goal was to preserve 'true' Communist ideology in the country by purging remnants of capitalist and traditional elements from Chinese society, and to re-impose Maoist thought as the dominant ideology within the Party. The Revolution marked the return of Mao Zedong to a position of power after the Great Leap Forward. The movement paralyzed China politically and negatively affected the country's economy and society to a significant degree.
The Revolution was launched in May 1966, after Mao alleged that bourgeois elements had infiltrated the government and society at large, aiming to restore capitalism. He insisted that these "revisionists" be removed through violent class struggle. China's youth responded to Mao's appeal by forming Red Guard groups around the country. The movement spread into the military, urban workers, and the Communist Party leadership itself. It resulted in widespread factional struggles in all walks of life. In the top leadership, it led to a mass purge of senior officials, most notably Liu Shaoqi and Deng Xiaoping. During the same period Mao's personality cult grew to immense proportions.
Millions of people were persecuted in the violent struggles that ensued across the country, and suffered a wide range of abuses including public humiliation, arbitrary imprisonment, torture, sustained harassment, and seizure of property. A large segment of the population was forcibly displaced, most notably the transfer of urban youth to rural regions during the Down to the Countryside Movement. Historical relics and artifacts were destroyed. Cultural and religious sites were ransacked..."
