"Gun sales hit 17th straight monthly record, up 27 percent

A total of 1,992,219 background checks were processed through the bureau's National Instant Criminal Background Check System for the month of September, higher than the 1,795,102 conducted in September 2015.

The number of checks run through the FBI's NICS system is a reliable indicator of how firearm sales are trending, though there is no precise correlation between the number of checks and the number of guns being sold. Licensed dealers are required to run a check in the database every time they make a sale, but sometimes turn buyers down.

When the vote fraud hits, there's going to be trouble this time.

The problem with "record gun sales" is the fact guns now cost an enormous amount of money.

ed, she doesn't need "vote fraud" to win this. She just needs Donald doing some more 3 am tweets.

That said, stock up while you still can.

I only have two hands, but I am interested in getting one of these.

You mean the tweet where he said, For those few people knocking me for tweeting at three o'clock in the morning, at least you know I will be there, awake, to answer the call! or the one where he brought up Miss Machado's slimy past and Frumpty's involvement in getting her citizenship pushed through, Did Crooked Hillary help disgusting (check out sex tape and past) Alicia M become a U.S. citizen so she could use her in the debate??

That's your big panic? Oh, yes, every womyn in the country was horrified and repelled by such language.

Get a freaking clue. He said nothing that wasn't true. And the world knew it by then. That's your explanation for the sudden rash of polls that miraculously have the Beast ahead because her big "victory" in the debate wasn't?

You really are getting as bad as the Bluebird of Happiness.

I can only advise you apply a long overdue skepticism to what the Lefty media tells you.

I'm more interested in various types of ammo and extra clips. Although I would really covet a Lady Smith .38 with a laser as a new handgun and another deer rifle.

California has now made it so that you must register when buying ammo. That way they can track you. Screw that. This just means more trips to Reno or Oregon to buy ammo, if I need more. Hmmmm. Reno is more fun. So......Reno it is.

ed, I do not have a "big panic" but the truth Trump is going backwards five weeks before the election. He is making what should have been less of a problem (a missed opportunity at the debate) a bigger problem with how he handled it the week after. While voters are already voting in some states. Trump is throwing this thing away when he could have won it. I find that frustrating.

It is not just Trump. Hillary also has the benefit of a dishonest media. It is not voter fraud (although that does exist in some places) but media fraud that is the bigger problem right now for Trump. Trouble is Trump is making their dishonesty easier.

I am not saying this out of glee or because I am happy about it. Unlike some, I want Trump to beat Hillary. Still, you are the one not being objective. If he loses, and if things don't change he will lose, you will blame it on voter fraud.

But I suspect you know this already. You know there is a problem. You just don't want to say it.

DBQ--go to Reno for fun, go to Oregon to avoid sales tax.

ed: Trump does not need to win you or me (he's got us). Hillary has her hard core support, they will never go his way. The election turns on that 10%-20% swing vote that will go either Hillary or Trump. Low information voters who can be swayed by the media. If you are not worried about this election going to wrong way after this week, you have not been paying attention.

Trump may not be going backwards as much as the media wants you to believe (just like last time).

That PA poll that had him down 9? 849 in the sample with an MOE of 6.2.

6.2 is a joke. And then there's the hanky pank involving Monmouth.

PS Note how Ned Silver sent this out after he did a piece on the Demos panicking.

ed, I get there is shenanigans with some of the polls. But not all of them. Trump is losing. If things don't change he loses the election. If he does lose it won't probably be voter fraud, but a failure to close the gap in a general election.

Sad.

I will vote for Trump. That said, I have a difficult time defending him in discourse with family, as he is sometimes, if not often, indefensible. He's not as smart as he thinks he is and he's going to lose the election because of that fact. Too bad for all of us, Shrillary bitch being Prez. But you know, I'll blame it on Trump and only Trump if that happens. He coulda been a contender... but liked the mirror more than normal.

Seeing Trump throw it away makes me want to spit.

Pence did well last night. Let's hope that helps change the narrative till Trump and Hillary meet again.

ed, I am not picking on you just to pick on you. You and people like you are enablers. When the polls are going well, I don't recall you questioning them then? When the go bad, suddenly it is all a scam. You can't have it both ways. You mean well, but your wishes will not make Trump win.

I am not naive, I know some polls are cooked. I know the media is completely corrupt. But I also know when the tide is ebbing or flooding.

Truth is Trump is throwing it away with unforced errors. I hope he can turn it around, but he is running out of time.

edutcher said...

Trump is throwing nothing away. You just want an excuse to kvetch.

There are plenty of polls where Trump is winning, but you choose to ignore them.

This is the Kan game all over again.

DBQ, please don't say clips. Magazines. :D You are right come 1/1/2017 you will have to get a license to buy ammo, will be limited to 500 rounds per caliber, and you will have to register that ammo with DoJ (unsure about this one). I buy my ammo from the internet, but even now those companies may stop shipping to CA. However, CA is one of their biggest markets, so we'll see.

I build my own AR platform rifles to the specs I want, so getting AR lowers into California come 1/1/2017 will probably become a non-starter. Also, all current magazines must be fixed and unremovable even with a bullet button. Also, the new laws going into effect will put your AR in a few categories. If you choose not to alter your current AR from those 'evil' Assault Weapon (AW) features, then you will have to register it as an assault weapon, which means more money to the state. If you don't want to register, you will have to turn your AR into a featureless AR. That means, it can't have a pistol grip, a foregrip, a telescoping/adjustable stock, and no flash hider for a muzzle device. If you decide to keep your AR as it is an not register it as an AR you will have to install a new magazine lock that will not allow your magazine to be removed unless you disengage the rear take-down pin, open up the action, and then the magazine lock can be actuated to remove the magazine.

The reason you can remove you magazine in this way and not be in violation is that removing the take-down pin to open up the action renders the weapon inoperable and when it's inoperable, it can be altered. So the alternation can be, ta-da, a new loaded magazine. A pain in the ass, but will avoid AW registration and you can keep your rifle as is. The other option which I'm considering as well as many of my friends is non-compliance on all fronts.

These measures are a stepping stone to confiscation which I'm going to assume if Gavin Newsome runs for governor, will most likely win, and then within a year or two lay out a plan to begin outright confiscation in the Australian model.

Correction. Bullet buttons are going to be outlawed completely, so you will have to use a magazine locking device. There is one on the market by Prince and the guy is out of San Marcos, CA, which is a stones throw away from me, but he's going to make a fortune and I've checked in a lot of places and they are already out of stock.

I don't have a problem with the word clip. For those of us of a certain age, that was the word. And I have, in my life, fired several rifles that used actual clips - the M1 Garand and the SKS. Yeah, the word "magazine" is accurate for many other weapons, but there are exceptions.
