Believing There Are Only Two Genders Is ‘Genderism’

Hot Air:  Connecticut officially redefines all language dealing with “gender”

According the Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF), which published an LGBT glossary of more than 250 terms, the belief that there are only two genders — male and female — should be treated as “genderism.”

The guide, which was published as part of the DCF’s Safe Harbors Project and was last updated July 7, defines “genderism” as: “The system of belief that there are only two genders (men and women) and that gender is inherently tied to one’s sex assigned at birth. It holds cisgender people as superior to transgender people, and punishes or excludes those who don’t conform to society’s expectations of gender.”

“Gender oppression,” according to the heavily-Democratic state, is “The societal, institutional, and individual beliefs and practices that privilege cisgender (gender-typical people) and subordinate and disparage transgender or gender variant people. Also known as ‘genderism.’”

How dare we be so logical?

What's beyond male and female? Sure there are people who claim to be all kinds of variation from pure one or the other, but there is no third pole.

Apparently "gender oppression" is happening.

I gather the idea behind the attempt to grow the two categories into a "make your own" gender menu is to dilute the male.

You can sense this in the male response, growing facial hair.

The bun hair, is to sort of mask/balance out, the possible aggressiveness interpretation of the facial hair.

The funny thing, for lack of a better way escaping me to describe it right now, (chalk it up to languageism) is that almost everything we know, we know it because it has been simplified to some extent. Look up the English language success.

Making something more difficult is not the way to gain acceptance, or, you are not going to make us love people more, or whatever, because they can make up/choose an exotic gender. It's ridiculous.

Am I wrong about this?

Oddball says what? Nevermind, I'm not listening anymore anyway. Yell it on the mountain. I have my own battles.

I believe Freud called it psychosis.

ESPN has been recruited in this quest...

Lem, I don't understand the comments on Reddit. Are they meant to contribute or what? It's as if they're determined to talk about anything other than the object of the post.

Like this:

Man, am I pleased with the decision to pop for the ale making lessons. This is my new thing, think of a person I know who is depressed about something that I can absolutely not deal with. Then deal with them otherwise as if they deserve kindness. Do this once a year at least. Say, somebody like Trump who you know to become despondent over things outside your wheelhouse. Then act kindly and generous when your real impulse is punch them in the nose for vexing you consistently.

Because it says, even though your shortcomings are terrible to bear you are still valuable. Through action that rings truer than words.

I worried about that from the moment that Co-Brew came here. I knew right away who this would be perfect for, also disastrously imperfect for. I actually ached over the decision for a full year for its nearness to compete blowout fail. The prospect read 5% possibility for win, 95% possibility for abject fail. Those were the odds as I read them. You must know the person I'm dealing with. Nobody can deal with this dude. He is seriously mental.

Here is the message back to me today c/p.

Hi,

I really enjoyed Thursday. Even in my condition. [ed: end of a cold]

I think you have a perfect place. Lunch was just what I needed.

Your vision on getting the CO-BREW gift certificate for me is perfect.

Since they are booked next week, I am focusing on the week of 7/25, specifically Tuesday, 7/26. I would just a soon be there without a crowd.

I really liked the crew at CO-BREW and I look forward to the brew session.

I plan to call for an appointment next week. I'm thinking about starting around 10-11 am. Sound good to you?

Thanks again for your thoughtfulness and caring.

What, what, wait what? What was that? Wait. I didn't quite catch that. Say it again. I can use hearing that again. This is the best present (for me) ever. To actually have something appreciated that they wouldn't think of their own.

Or else they would just do it.

And NO reciprocation, no payback of equal value, you Scandinavian c*nt. Your sense of obligation wrecks everything pleasant and fun. I meant to say just now, no need to bother trying to think of anything brilliant as this.

I figure let people do whatever they want if they think it will make them happy... at least for the most part.

But I'm reminded of a heated exchange between a hardcore lesbian feminist and a trans-advocate... the one saying that you're a transphobic lesbian if you don't like women who have penises and the other insisting that if you've got a penis you're not a woman. And then the explanation that there are lots of women with penises and the lesbian explaining... that you're a lesbian because you *don't like penises*... this is a *sexual* orientation and not a *gender* orientation.

And I'm thinking, yeah, how obvious is that?

So apparently the anti-biology Republican party has made this the issue du jour.

Lol. Good luck, guys. May you run far on it.

Is this that example we've all waited for of the inmates running the asylum?

So?

Ah Ritmo... the whole point is that gender is NOT biology.

And I'm not really sure who made it the issue du jour. It's clearly the "issue du jour" with the Connecticut legislature.

@Sixty: Well, you're supposed to feel ashamed of believing old-fashioned notions. You're supposed to seek conversion therapy or at least enlightenment. You could be labelled a genderist which on social media is the kiss of death.

I have been called worse, as recently as this morning. I can handle it.

As a matter of public policy you can see how the government can officially define the language. Define anything it wants contrary to the total undertanding of known beliefs as they stand now. They can do it without any scientific vetting or even public commentary, just like that. And in this case they did. I'm beginning to wonder if this isn't a broad spectrum endorsement of religion. Leftism.

I was born and raised in this fucking state. But, like many states, it is bifurcated. I mean you go to southern Illinois and they talk w/ southern accents and are all Republicans. Connecticut is divided into the Western hills and NYC suburbs w/ rich, liberal assholes. The southern Ct. coastline is like that too. But, you get into the interior and north and it's blue collar who usually vote Dem, but are not liberal. Many were Reagan Dems. My mom was one of them. It's a solid blue state but like MA., do elect Republican guvs.

If I were in a wheelchair, one of my problems would be finding a wheelchair accessible bathroom, but it would be far from the biggest problem in life. I'm sympathetic to the problems paraplegics face, but their big problem in life is not the attitude of the ambulatory towards paraplegics but the fact that they can't walk......If, for whatever reason, a man likes to dress up in woman's clothes, then his life will be fraught with difficulties, and not all of them involve taking a leak or avoiding hostile stares.

La mano defies gender handedly.

The Dude said...

La mano needs to go chiral.

I have already mocked Spanish for "la pistola" - I mean really, you gay caballeros, pistol is feminine? That speaks volumes about rampant genderism right there. For a better understanding, hum Macho Man in your head as you read this comment.
