If you don't have it, get the Google Sky app. It shows you in real time what you are looking at. Just hold the phone up to the sky, and when you move it around, it identifies what is there, and you can zoom in and out. You can even look through the earth and see what the Chinese are looking at.

Too cool. Stocking stuffer for my son. He went through a long astronaut phase when he was a pre-teen. I learned a lot by osmosis.
