"The Most Googled Question of 2015"

Google’s most asked question of 2015 should just be down right embarrassing. According to Seventeen magazine, the top “what is?” honor goes to:
What’s 0 divided by 0?”
That’s right, basic math. The Daily Beast adds that Siri got so sick of the question she had to add to her endless supply of clever responses. When asked to perform the equation, Siri responds:
“Imagine that you have zero cookies and you split them evenly among zero friends. How many cookies does each person get? See? It doesn’t make sense. And Cookie Monster is sad that there are no cookies, and you are sad that you have no friends.”

That's easy, 0bama.

Good one AllenS.

Good one?
No. Do the math — good zero.

...and you are sad that you have no friends.”

Ayup. Siri nails it.

Negative intimacy

Revealing repeated attempts to divide

Signifying entertainment-seeking with nothing

Of substance to offer.

Please take notice that 0bama is spelled with a zero then bama.

Of course you can divide by zero - it just takes zero effort.

"“Imagine that you have zero cookies and you split them evenly among zero friends. How many cookies does each person get?"

Exactly. You have already split up the zero cookies perfectly without any effort at all, and you didn't even make a mess. Damn, you are good. Now go celebrate a job well done.

If the Romans had had the zero we'd all be speaking Latin.

Problem: Divide MamaM shaming by Siri shaming. How ashamed should you feel?

The problem here is the question pondered is mental.

To resolve, make it physical.

You take an actual physical zero and actually divide it and what do you get? A pizza. You give a slice to all of your friends.

But you want to divide by another zero. We can approach this division several ways now that we're not being mental and are being physical. We can cut out a a small zero and split the doughnut shape and the remaining circular inside portion with a friend. The second approach is done all the time with a pizza cutter shaped as a zero slicing through the pizza, a zero divided by a zero, a pizza divided by a circular pizza cutter.

The solution, my friends, blowing right here, is stop being so mental about nothing and get real with pizza and pies and cakes and other circular delicious and satisfying physical realities.

0/0 = 1

How many zeros are there in zero?

How many Obamas are there in Obama

Exactly one. Or more precisely, The One.

It's not like Siri can work out an elegant solution to Fermat's Theorem. Siri knows that zero divided by zero is zero. Big deal. No reason to get all smart ass about it. This is why I worry about AI. Algorhymns should be humbler than their creator.

If you ask how many x are in x, isn't it always 1? The number of anything in that identical thing is always 1. Why should uppity zero be different?

For example, if I ask how many Obama promises are in an Obama promise? It doesn't matter that such a promise has zero value. There is still one promise in that promise.
