Obama spies on Congress... again

But don't expect anybody to do anything about it.
The National Security Agency’s targeting of Israeli leaders and officials also swept up the contents of some of their private conversations with U.S. lawmakers and American-Jewish groups. That raised fears—an “Oh-s— moment,” one senior U.S. official said—that the executive branch would be accused of spying on Congress.
White House officials believed the intercepted information could be valuable to counter Mr. Netanyahu’s campaign. They also recognized that asking for it was politically risky. So, wary of a paper trail stemming from a request, the White House let the NSA decide what to share and what to withhold, officials said. “We didn’t say, ‘Do it,’ ” a senior U.S. official said. “We didn’t say, ‘Don’t do it.’ ”

My question is will California senator Dianne Feinstein claim shock and ignorance a second time?

Claim it would be bad for the next president to spy on Congress is a tacit admission that nothing will happen to the POTUS who done it twice

More ammunition for the Republican candidate, because everyone knows Hillary would do something like this if Obama would. Come out strong and loud against this crap, and promise that it will never be a part of your administration.

Wait, the new standard is that promises are for suckers, so that won't help.

So you might as well throw in a few promises to have the most transparent administration ever, or that you will put bills on line and wait for public review before signing, or promise to lower insurance costs, or to use smart diplomacy, or .................

You might at least get a Nobel Prize by the end of the week.

These are only the stuff we know about.

You know who the NSA didn't spy on? Angela Merkel and her merry crew determined to murder Germany. After all, why should the NSA be concerned with what their socialist/nihilist kill the West peers are up to?

Nobody's going to do anything yet.

None of the Whigs would because it would be so ungentlemanly and so uncollegial, but I can see President Trump gearing up the DOJ to mete out some retribution.

And maybe even justice

And now you know why he gets everything he wants from Congress. The dirt he has on these dirty criminals is enough to keep them in line. Again, who should be prosecuted for this? No one will do a thing because it's business as usual in the District of Corruption.

My 229 was mysteriously deleted. I think Merkel was spied upon, wasn't there a brouhaha over it?

Yes.
