Aside from that, I wonder if the news babe speaks of the "American dream" so positively off camera in any other context.
It's reassuring that someone somewhere in the Muslim American community has assimilated American values......I'm just a superficial observer but from what I see every time a Muslim commits some atrocity some Iman doubles down on the facial hair and preaches that now more than ever Muslims must be alert to and militant against against anti-Islamic bigotry. There never seems to be any introspection about what part of their values causes such endless atrocities........My understanding of the Koran is that it mandates women dress modestly. There's nothing in it about hijabs, burqas, veils, etc. it would show a willingness to compromise with American values if they ditched the head wear. Whenever I see women dressed in unflattering and uncomfortable clothing I suspect the dark hand of the patriarchy. It would be good if Hillary, as a militant feminist, spoke out against such clothing. Hillary herself presents an example of how a woman can dress modestly, fashionably, and comfortably. Her pant suits with the stretch waist have never inspired any lustful thoughts and yet they are not implicitly hostile to American values.
Saddam Hussein and Muammar Gaddafi were moderate muslims. Bashar al-Assad is a moderate muslim. The powers that be choose to align themselves with the immoderate House of Saud. Take your pick.

"Moderate" and "extremist" are obfuscating terminology. It should all be about "would-be reformers", "reformers", "jihadists" or "Muslim fundamentalists" and "cowards".
The last category covers the majority. And the first two are the ones we need to encourage or a light a fire under-ass.
The second two need to be ridiculed and, when legally appropriate, killed. In either order.
Although I'm sure certain people would disagree. Unfortunately.
Now instead of talking about immigration and reforming the religion of peace for corpses, we're going to be talking about handing out candy to Syrian kids, turning the other cheek, the problems of xenophobia and all that jazz.
