Fiorina at the diner

"Carly Fiorina is defending her decision not to correct a man who characterized President Obama as a “black Muslim” at a diner in New Hampshire.
Fiorina said it wasn’t her job to defend the president, noting that he “isn’t on the ballot.”

“I’ve said on many occasions: President Obama tells me he’s a Christian; I take him at his word,” she said on Fox News on Friday. “But the truth is, President Obama isn’t on the ballot.”
The former Hewlett-Packard CEO said it’s her job to defeat Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton in 2016."

It's the media's job (not Carly Fiorina's job) to convince us that Obama is not a muslim.

I'll tell you why she didn't correct him - she's a Conservative. They don't believe in policing speech. That's a left thing. What they are saying is "why isn't she a leftists like us?"

She takes him at his word? Right away I don't trust her.

Technically, “black Muslim” means a follower of Elijah Mohammed and Louis Farrakhan.

But then, President Pissy is about the worst "Christian" I've ever seen, so, if you want to call her wrong, you can.

"I take him at his word" is the correct answer.

It shuts the hack press down.

This is an endless effort by the hack press to smear any GOP candidate as a heretic.

Heretic defined as anyone who doesn't fall in line with the rules set forth by the DNC press. Which are: You must admit, 5 times a day, that Obama is a Christian. You must admit Obama is a Christian when called upon to do so by the DNC media.
You must slam and criticize, with full gusto, any individual who claims Obama is a Muslim or claims Obama is sympathetic to the Muslim religion and so much so that it seems odd that he is a Christian. You must never bring up Reverend Wright.

Ironically, most leftists in the media hate Christians. It's all really tired and silly.

PS "Fiorina at the diner"

A political "Casey At The Bat"?

Not complaining. I like it.

It sings.

I would change the formulation to "If you take Obama at his word then he is a Christian."

I'm with April on this one. Some reporters have gotten so lazy under Obama that they now expect candidates to do the work they won't do. They want at least four more years of paid shilling and late morning fluff-blogging. They want it under Hillary. A Republican presidency of any flavor scares the heck out them b/c they'd actually have to WORK!

One candidate is held responsible for supervising every random comment that is spoken in her presence and for inadequate smiling.

Another candidates is not held responsible for getting U.S. personnel killed and state secrets released while holding high office and simultaneously grifting huge sums of money in exchange for personal gain in exchange for government favors and calling it charity.

Both are women.

What could be the difference?

It's actually quite easy to see through this tactic: hire someone to yell something offensive at every candidate's appearance. Then, a "concerned" journalist asks for confrontation. What a way to manipulate and control the narrative!

Yes, 'I take him at his word is the right answer,' but she's not expected to take valuable time carrying Obama's water each time.

If you watch the video she moves on from that table quickly, saying, 'it's time to do something in many ways.'

deborah said...

I don't see how she cannot be the running mate. She is so well-spoken and good on her feet.

Amartel said...

chick -it's been done, no doubt many times. Some DNC paid poser attending a GOP candidate rally shouting out racist crap right near the jwhorenalists. (The "j" is silent, don'tcha know.)

deborah said...

And look how Fiorina slid in, 'I've said on MANY occasions...'

deborah said...

Thank you, Ed. I think you have a song in your heart.

Probably the best of the lot. But that's only part of what it takes.

Fiorina said it wasn’t her job to defend the president..

Or to tell the truth. Or to avoid a campaign that enjoys furthering the ignorance and hatred of its supporters. Or to correct supporters who are motivated by hate or ignorance.

Again, this just goes back to whether connies want a reality-based movement and a government based in truth and honesty (and science!) or one that just capitulates to the "kooks" that Buckley pledged his life's work to purging from his movement. What a lost cause that was! Only a matter of time before kooks re-emerge, as they are the backbone of what this is all about.

A government of the kooks, by the kooks and for the kooks.

Exactly.

This whole "it's not my job to defend him" stuff was a page out of Rick Santorum's book. And look at how well he's doing.

I can't wait to hear Hillary correcting the Black Lives Matter fools.

Maybe she'll say "It's not MY job to defend cops or white people."

Bleach Drinkers Curing Coronavirus Together said...

Yes, if Hillary had any integrity she would correct them and "defend" those cops who aren't doing anything wrong, also. But someone needs to give Fiorina an example in corruption. It's not like Republicans can learn these things on their own.

I'd like to see BLM ask Hillary what she thinks about the Michael Brown shooting, and hear her say "What difference now does it make?"

I feel so chastened when Schmendrick tells us how unworthy Republicans are! What is it, a tic in lefties that they MUST mock?

My favorite part was where Carly Fiorina said with her eyes, eyebrows, cheeks, mouth shape changes, ears, neck and nose, her whole face speaking on top of her words, I'm very good at this sort of thing, she said clearly,

It's not my job to protect your little Lord Fauntleroy perhaps the questioner was judging Obama by his observable actions regarding Israel and regarding Iran, Syria, Libya, Egypt and Iraq and Afghanistan, Guantanamo, and even Cuba and Britain, Ukraine, while dismissing all that Obama says knowing full well as Christian that real Christians do not sit through 20 years of Rev. Wright. And I'm like whoa shit, Carly, you're not a very good puh puh puh poker face.

Remember when someone here would rant that Obama would overturn the 22nd Amendment and that he would be on the ballot in 2016. People say all kinds of crazy shit.

And yes, politicians do plant people to yell out nasty stuff to their opposition. They also plant people to yell out stuff to themselves that the candidate can hit out of the park w/ a pithy "ad lib." Comedians do it as well. If anyone has seen the new Amy Schumer HBO special that kid, talking about blow jobs w/ his mom right next to him was almost certainly a plant. I've some undercover, pretext work using an operative to get someone talking.

Because politics is very personal for lefties. One step out of line and you're not just wrong, you're EVIL and STUPID and BAD, VERY VERY VERY BAD [shouting] AND SO IS YOUR MOTHER AND EVERYONE YOU'VE EVER MET AND INFECTED WITH YOUR BADNESS, EVILNESS AND STUPIDNESS. YAARRRRGGGH.

As long as you make it a point to elect self-centered retards to make the policies that screw up this country, then yes. I will mock.

Not that obsessions with monikers like "Schmendrick" are a way of mocking or anything. Typical hypocrisy.

Leftists flush our nation down the toilet - high unemployment, record number of people out of the work force, record foodstamps, failed health care scheme (passed on party line vote) that ends up transferring money from tax payers to top 8 big insurance companies - same mega insurance that are all in bed with the Clinton foundation. But it's you're fault, repubs! Bush!

You are first out of the box with personal accusations and general disparagement every time.
It's your way of avoiding the merits of the opposing argument, which are increasingly obvious as the unsustainable progressive model slowly crashes down on the heads of its true believers.

My disparaging of right-wingers is only "personal" if you view that as your primary identity. It's no more personal than the general disparagement of left-wingers that everyone else here does instinctively. And as you just did by going on about the "unsustainable progressive model slowly crashing down on the heads of its true believers." But unlike you, I didn't take that personally. Why? Because it wasn't directed primarily at me and because I have an identity that is more complex than just a partisan label. Maybe if you had that going for you, you would also understand.

Amartel said...

Nope, your disparagement is personal (directed at people-or the personality you assume exists behind the screen name-instead of their words) whenever you know your argument on the merits fails. Which is a lot, lately.
