Gratuitous Bathtub Whose that girl?

What's a bath without bubbles?

This young lady was one of the most unbelievable love interests for the Duke that I ever saw. Actually second worst ever.

Of course when is in the water she can never resist a taking a few strokes. Or when she was on dry land for that matter.

Whose that girl?

The clue is water. Is it the woman known for swimming? And for, how do you say, uckingfay everyodybay in ightsay. Ester Williams or summat. I don't know.

If this were a crossword, that's where'd I'd start, with Esther or Ester or something like that. She wrote a tell-all book about doing everybody. By then she was quite old and everybody hearing her promoting the book was going, ew, gross me out already whydontchya. Because we didn't know her as young, only as an old lady swimmer.

Well, it's not Stacey Pat (cf. Rickey Branch).

I'm guessing, based on Chip's clue sleuthing, that it's:

Patricia O'Neill!

Did he sleep with all his co-stars?

The clue is strokes, implying sexual promiscuity.

Chick, do you mean Pat Neal who costarred with him in In Harm's Way?

Patricia Neal's face was a bit more angular (and he never did a flick with Esther Williams) than the girl in the picture - look at those chubby, round cheeks (mind out of the gutter).

Also, the Duke did at least 2 pictures with Ms Neal and I get the impression Troop means the girl was a one-off.

@deborah: Yes, I meant Patricia Neal and not O'Neill. My mistake.

That is indeed Patricia Neal in her younger days.

Before she had a stroke.

Did she get around?

mumble mumble mumble sorry Chip.

She must have been a teenager when that picture was taken.
