Who am I to judge?

President Barrack Saddam Hussein Obama with his customary sense of decorum and protocol has invited all the denizens of Misfit Island to the White House dinner with Pope Francis. This National league line up includes a divorced gay bishop, a bunch of gay "Catholic" activists and a nun who leads a group that wants more abortions for everyone. Just the type of people that would embarrass the Pope if he takes a photo with them so people can use it to imply that he supports their agenda. You know like photo of Rosalyn Carter with John Wayne Gacy.

Of course Pope Francis is hard to embarrass. He is refusing to meet with Cuban dissidents when he is in Cuba because.....I don't know....Fidel is his kind of guy. The Pope does seem to base a lot of his world view on the position that the US is at fault for most of the worlds problems. Well that capitalism is at fault. He calls capitalism the devils poop. His views align much more with Fidel than the Cuban dissidents who are seeking freedom so I guess it makes sense that he will not meet with them.

I do no that he will not be protesting in front of a Planned Parenthood clinic. He will be in Philly but he won't stop and pray in front of Gosnell's clinic. I can not find where he has denounced Planned Parenthood or referenced the videos where they talk about chop up babies like they were a used Buick. That he doesn't seem to have time for.

Passing the ca-napes with the motely crew that Obama has assembled seems to be fine. He won't refuse to meet with them. He won't cancel the dinner or demand that these people be dis-invited. I bet he will be all smiles and hugs with Governor Cuomo who is one of the top abortion warriors in the United States. Cuomo would be happy to hold a mother down while they rip the baby out with a pair of pliers to sell the parts on Ebay. He won't scorn him. He won'd admonish him. He certainly won't excommunicate him. That ain't gonna happen.

 I don't get it.

But who am I to judge.

It's just too nauseating for me.

I don't know what Jesus would do. I don't know what is exactly the right thing to do all the time.

I do know that I would like this Pope to speak out on Catholic issues. Fight the fight for Catholics in the traditional way. But that ship has sailed.

Of course what I think are Catholic issues are different than what this Pope thinks are Catholic issues. He is the Holy Father. He was elected by the College of Cardinals to Christ's Vicar on earth. He has to follow his path. He is our Shepard.

I just feel he is woefully misguided. I will watch with interest his appearances here in the United States.

I talk with my parish priest about this all the time. He is a big enthusiast for this Pope. As are many other people. Who all tell me he has been misinterpreted. That the press is distorting his message.

Maybe it is because he insists on speaking Spanish.

I mean Jeb Bush does that and nobody understands what the heck he is talking about.

Regarding what Methadras wrote: the entire world is a conspiracy to replace face to face charity with distribution from on high. Face to face charity is hard. Love is hard because you love despite...despite the human all to human nature of the one you exchange love with. That's charity: exchanging love. The world, we all know what the world is, that's the last thing the world wants. No touching! Give from on high, through the state, to the poor, down there. In the process both ends become things, the giver and the poor. But that's less painful than actually touching anyone. The world, by the way, is us. Or at least almost all of us.

He's from Argentina. He doesn't understand capitalism, only crony capitalism. Someone needs to explain the distinction and also get him straightened out on climate change. Wading into politics only serves to detract from the message of Christ.

Rubio had a great line about speaking Spanish - he'd rather voters who speak Spanish hear what he's saying directly rather than through a Univision interpreter. Excellent point.

I just wonder where is his head on the issue of the most innocent and vulnerable among us. The unborn.

Is is just a matter of perfunctory words and putting your efforts on taking from the rich to redistribute to the poor? There has seldom been a time where the Popes words would come in handy to put pressure on the merchants of death. Why is he among the missing when it comes time to stand up for the right to life?

Rubio is pandering to a separatist portion of our people who refuse to learn our common language.

When I was a kid everyone spoke Italian. But if the kids spoke only Italian Grandma would hit them in the head with the wooden spoon. She would tell them they had to speak American because they were in America.

Why are these immigrants different than everyone who went before?

Because politicians and the politically correct pander to them?

You make the call.

Hey just because you hate something doesn't mean you want to see them tortured and murdered.

I mean I hate cats but I don't want to see them murdered.

I hate Democrats but I don't want to see them aborted.

I hate the Green Bay Packers but I don't want to see their plane cras......errr....let me think for a moment.

I do like that "Barack Saddam Hussien Obama" tag.

Yours, Troop?

This is just another of the gutless ways His Poutiness spits on people.

The only one who refused to take it was Netanyahu.

You can tell a guy from Philadelphia.

PS Give the Pope a little credit, he walks the walk. God help him, he's going to take in a "refugee" family.

I hope he lives through it.

What is the point of being a shepherd if the direction you take your flock into is one over an ideological cliff? That's what leftism is.

Apparently the Pope doesn't like being dissed by our President. Good to see him give a little push-back on Barack's proposed guest list.

From the pope's pov it's the sort of thing Jesus would do, consort with prostitutes, tax collectors, and um, other unsavory seemingly lost elements. We all learn this early and have it emphasized throughout so his answer would resonate with all of us and shut us right up. We'd all go, "Damn, the dude really knows his bible."

From Omaba's pov he's being his usual hyper passively aggressive little pixie dick bitch self with a chip on his shoulder the size of the grand canyon. No wait, the Mariana trench. No wait, the Ellsworth Trough. No wait, a chip on his shoulder greater than the Valles Marineris. *mic drop*

*picks up mic, dusts off* And Passiveaggressive ain't just another river in Egypt.

Good for him. He knows what gives and he won't take it.

He is. There's a war in the Vatican over that between the Conservatives and the Revolution Theology types.

All in the name of diversity and because us evil Americans owe it to them.

that, and it's easier to keep them down if they can't speak the lingo

Same with Ebonics.

The thing Ed is it is time for someone to say "Hey you are not special. Everyone that came before had to learn English. The Micks. The Wops. The Pollacks. Even the Hebes. Enough with the bi-lingual bullshit. Next thing you know they are going to want to let bi-sexuals into the girls lockerroom......errrrr.....nevermind."

Trooper York said...

Sometimes the Shepard is only interest in shearing the sheep. He worries less about keeping the wolves off and more about his own concerns.

That is when the flock scatters to the four winds.

That was my point.

The Lefties (think George Ramos) do the Full Court Alinsky to make the Liberals feel guilty over the tired, the poor who want to sponge off us.

The Micks (and the Welsh and the Cornishmen) in the old days had the advantage of knowing the language, but Mama from the Old Country knew you were nothing if you didn't speaka da Inglish, so Guido, Ole, Ivan, and Spiro spoke nothing but English when they were at home.

The Lefties say it's an affront to their dignity, but that's the scam. Keep 'em ignorant and they won't know anything but what they hear on Univision.

We are on the same wavelength here

The Pope is coming to Philly next week. I predict the turnover will be much less than it was in 1979 when John Paul came and my 61 year old mother and her 66 year old sister trekked downtown to see him.

I am 63 now and have no interest in going and I don't know of many Catholics in my age group who plan to go. The world has changed a lot in the last 35 years and especially for many Catholics.
