The last person I want coming to my aid is a cop with few options other than their gun to handle a physical situation. The problem with cops right now is that policy and training brings out the guns too fast. We don't need physics making it mandatory. I'd feel the same about a very small man or a very fat one. You usually call the cops because you need an overwhelming physical presence on your side. You are requesting physical power. Otherwise you would call your mom, or maybe a mime.
Maybe we can use the blind to umpire baseball too.
I can think of worse partners to share a squad car with.....Better partners for a violent confrontation, but she's definitely the better partner for a long, dull shift.
