"Scott Walker tells undocumented worker..."

"... that immigrants must follow the law"
"We're a nation of laws," Walker, the Republican governor of Wisconsin, repeatedly told Jose Flores, 38, who was joined by two of his four children, Luis, 7, and Leslie, 13, who had tears rolling down her cheeks throughout the exchange. Flores, who lives in Waukesha and works for a medical supply factory, said he and his wife live in fear of being deported and separated from their children, who he said were all born in the United States.

"My point," Walker said, "is that you have to follow the law, follow the process."

"No man or woman is above the law in this country," Walker said. "That's the beauty of America."
Trump may not make it to the end, but he has been a blessing on this issue.

Why is Leslie crying? Does it add a certain piquancy to life to break the law and get away with it? You bet it does.

That bad Señor Walker is a killjoy!

Look let's be honest- no one is going to kick those kids out or their illegal parents. But, if I were president, they'd have to come out of the shadows to get registered and counted before we could decide [as a nation] how to handle them on a go forward basis. I favor legalization of non-criminal illegals [up to ten million], If there are more than 10 million, the excess have to be deported asap. And the 10 million never get full citizenship nor the right to vote and we finish the fence first before we do anything.

And Walker, in a country with 300 million people, our elected officials can't arbitrarily decide which laws they will enforce.

Though, it's looking more and more like Trump, as he implodes, will go 3rd party.

Perot II. Who does that help? oh right - Hillary. What does Hillary want? Open borders with illegals voting. (for her) Then, our welfare state goes full Greece.

Immigration is a huge cluster fuck. I sympathise with illegal who came here, because frankly, I wouldn't respect them if they didn't. The incentive and opportunity is huge, the downsides near non-existent. Compared to the dysfunctional asylum that is Mexico, the U.S. is the promised land, and all you have to do is walk there just like a bunch of other people you know who are now living much better than you and yours. We are not just talking about money and opportunity, but also safety and stability. You can lose everything including your life in a flash in Mexico, and likely nobody will help you, or your family. Everyone is a predator including your own government, police and judges. The United States government, and activist groups show open arms to illegals, so it's pretty much irresistible.

So after decades of that, now millions are here, and they are attached, intertwined and a part of the nation in ways that make it impossible to undo without an intolerable inhumane holocaust. They will not be leaving. Most have nowhere to go, and everything to lose by going. They will do whatever they have to to stay, and they have powerful allies. We are not willing, nor should we be willing to do what it would take to force them out.

As incredibly unfair as that is to legal immigrants and citizens, it's just an unchangeable fact that we have to accept as a starting point or we are wasting time and influence in an unwinnable fight.

This unfairness to everyone else is the hardest thing to swallow, yet like a bug in the back of your throat, it's just to late to spit it out, and the inevitable is just that.

We can however at least stop it from continuing to get worse. We pick a date and make everyone who entered after that date 100% ineligible for anything other than emergency medical services, and subject to immediate deportation. No work, no benefits, no future in it. The only reason people come is that they expect they can stay and prosper. Take that away, and it will stop. It's still incredibly hard politically, but at least possible and effective. You don't need a wall if nobody wants to come, and the journey is still very risky, so make it not worth the risk.

Jose talked as if secured in the safety of a sanctuary city.

Walker better watch out, he might not get enough illegals to vote for him.

John McCain, Trump and Hillary! all want the same thing. Hillary!

They can all walk off a cliff.

Hey I'm just happy to hear that all Americans that want a job at a medical supply business in Waukesha have a job, and therefore that company can hire an undocumented worker and not have to worry about minimum wage, social security, or other benefits. These undocumented workers help keep wages low and that's passed onto Democrat candidates as kickbacks.

Leland - bingo.

American workers are being displaced. And our pathetic political class seems to be fine with it.

Illegals don't get hired because they take less than minimum wage. Paying less than minimum is rarely worth the risk to employers because even illegals can report you for that and get the difference without risking deportation. Besides, they just don't settle for less than minimum, because they don't have to. That's the law, and that's the market. Illegals do however take the jobs because they are easy to hire and plentiful. How many citizens do you see standing outside the Home Depot waving you down for a job? Answer: zero. Those guys are nearly all illegal, but they are not cheap. The thing is: THEY ARE THERE. Now try to find 5 citizens this morning to dig a ditch who will come, do the job, and take a couple bucks above minimum in cash and be be done with it. It's the regulations and attitudes by Americans that push so much work to illegals, not the pay.

Walker may be the Demo-killer, after all.

You kind of have it right bags. Half the job is just showing up. Illegals get $100 to $150 a day based on their skill set. Americans turn up their nose at that. It sucks but it's true.

The thing is the trend now is to not obey the law.

Oh those heartless republicans seeking to break families apart FOR THE LAW!!! Nevermind the fact that Democrats want people to deliberately break the law to get into this country to vote for them. The irony it hurts!!!

If I were president, I'd institute mass deportation, but keep families intact. Children may be citizens, but they are still under the care of their parents and aren't entitled to certain constitutional protections. If they stay with their families during deportation, then no one can say that I was a heartless bastard. But find them and deport as many as I could is what I would do. Then make them run through the immigration process to get back in if they so choose. But I would have an armed border to keep them out. Be glad I'm not president.

Joe Biden, America's Putin said...

When will it end? We keep saying 'OK NOW we close the door on illegals" and we never do? The latest numbers are (drudge)

2.5 million illegals arrive under Obama...
400,000 yearly...

The politicians are inviting illegal border crossing.

I agree that there are whole portions of Americans unwilling to work hard. I see it all the time. In fact I see hard working Mexicans far more than I see a hard working American teenagers or young adults.

I just got off the phone with my painter and he cannot find reliable help. They show up drunk. My carpenter, who makes custom furniture and cabinets is up to his eyeballs in work and he too cannot find reliable skilled carpenters to hire. The electrician I know (who I have spoke about before) cannot find and keep entry level electricians because they are all whiners who give up as soon as the job gets difficult. They want a paycheck but don't want to hang in there and work.

Our culture is completely backwards. Work-ethic is vanished and replaced by rap music and anger. (Ok - that's a simplification)

Then you read about Disney and how they fired everyone and then asked them to train their illegal replacements. what?
It's broken alright. But the answer for the pols is to lasso in voters and cheap labor for big biz. Take a bad situation and make it worse in all directions.

What don't you ever see Democrats in those gotcha moments. Perhaps someone whose loved one got murdered by an illegal immigrant could ask Hillary if she thinks the sanctuary city program should be stopped, Maybe the newscaster could offer the children of illegals a free piñata, one that looks like El Chappo and the other hat looks like Donald Trump. Then, if the kid chooses Trump, the newscaster could ask the immigrant if he thinks he's raising his kid to reflect American values......I would ask all the candidates if there is anyone who entered this country illegally--besides violent felons--who they would deport and under what circumstances they would deport them.

We're back to the 60s, only then it was the Lefties who said people were obligated to break "unjust" laws.

Love to see that one bite them.
