It's De Blasio Time.

A skell from Harlem who was caught on tap punching a cop should never have been stopped or arrested claims his shyster lawyer.

Saykou George, 30, was charged with resisting arrest and assaulting an officer after he tussled with Officer Jean Francisco on Wednesday in Harlem. He was seen carrying a knife and had an outstanding arrest warrant. He had prior arrests for assault and pot possession.

There are a couple of things that are interesting about this video. It is a little long but stick with it.

First of all the City Council has a bill pending that says that the cops have to get written permission before they can search someone like this. Imagine how that would go.

Second look how effective the female cop is in this confrontation. It should make any feminist proud of how she can do the job just as well as any man. Look how she jumped in their to protect her partner.

There is a movement in NYC called "Disarm the Police." They want to take the guns away from the cops and get them out of the neighborhood. They have already outlawed stop and frisk. Now they want to outlaw stop and talk.. Soon they will move to stop the police from doing anything at all against the skells and the criminals who make up along with their families a significant portion of the voting base for the progressive politicians running NYC. De Blasio got elected with about 20% of the eligible voters casting a ballot in the last election.

Of course the cop is under investigation. He is up on charges because he was trying to arrest a criminal with an outstanding warrant. He didn't pull his gun like the guy at the pool. He didn't use a nightstick or pepper spray. He tried talking with him first and then tried to take him down the old fashioned way without any help from his hapless female partner. So he is the one in trouble. You can understand why arrests are down more than 60% this quarter.

It's De Blasio time.

He might as well have had a Cocker Spaniel helping take down that monster.

See how a few punches in the mouth will take the piss out of just about anyone. She was basically a chihuahua nipping at his heels. lulz.

She called for back up and kept a watchful eye on his back. Within the limits of her size, she did her job competently and appropriately......In a confrontation like this, the way you win is almost more important than not losing. Suppose his partner had been a heavyweight, and they had decked this guy in short order. It would have been a case of police brutality, and their jobs would be in jeapordy........Thirty-forty years ago cops carried blackjacks which they used in close encounters of the third kind. The world changes. You have to use meticulously calibrated degrees of force, and God help you if you don't. That cop in Texas won his confrontation with the girl in the bikini, and picked up his severance check on the victory lap.

So in other words you want Eloise to be standing between this skell and you?

Okey Dokey.

It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.

So what's the idea behind using "plainclothes" officers to patrol the streets and make arrests. He's not undercover as the gun and badge are clearly visible. Seems to me you'd have a better chance of getting cooperation/submission if you were in uniform - not a guarantee of course but better results on average.

The perp keeps screaming "This is being photographed". Exactly. The cop looks heroic, and the perp looks like a perp. This is a win for the police......There could have been, in an infinite number of ways, a much worse resolution to this confrontation.

Troop, so what's the word on the street? Have you noticed any subtle changes in how the City is behaving? My only source of NYC policing info is Blue Bloods reruns.

Things are bad. What is happening is that in any confrontation everyone whips out a cell phone and starts yelling that they are filming it just like you saw in this video. Now most cops are lazy. So give them a reason to let something go and they will. They have taken a giant step back and the skells are empowered. They think they can get away with anything.

Two days ago two skells from the projects broke into a condo apartment five blocks from my house. They beat an robbed the guy who lived there. No real mention of it on TV or in the newspapers. This is happening more and more. Crime is up. Murders are up. Arrests are really down big time.

This happened in a super trendy rich neighborhood where people have clout. How do you think it is in the poorer neighborhoods?

The female cop was pathetic. She couldn't have tackled the guys legs from behind? Or what about grabbing hold of an arm?
