Pizza Pie that's Not Amore

I don’t have a problem with gay people, I do not condone gay marriage and that’s what I said,” he said. “I don’t turn anybody away from the store, I don’t have a problem with gay people. I just don’t condone the marriage.”
O’Connor said he’s never been asked to cater a wedding, and that the response was hypothetical in response to questions posed by the news crew.

“It’s hard to speak when things get taken so out of context and this thing goes sky high and just blows everything up,” he said. “I’ve got a family to think about, too.”
Twitter has it that the Pizzeria had to shut down because of death threats.

He didn't turn anybody away. He answered a hypothetical. Now he may not get a chance to change his mind.

Was Dean Martin gay?

That's not a hypothetical.

I've got photos . . . for a price.

The phrase "give 'em an inch and they'll take a mile" comes to mind.

Just make sure you crop of Troop cause, you know, he doesn't want us to see him like that.

This is completely wrong. I disagree with the fags on this one. Leave the business alone.

And really what faggot is going to order pizza for their wedding from a town with a population of 2,000.

Most of the freaks going off on this were lesbos.

I hate gay lesbians and transgenders-the most.

Those tolerant, compassionate Lefties.

This is how the Gaystapo has always operated - crushing little guys.

Now, however, it's on the national scene. Now everybody sees it.

Joe Biden, America's Putin said...

So the left want all small business owners who don't agree with gay marriage to go out of business.

Leftist prog-ism = making America great.

Death threats? Sounds like the town needs a Tim Cook statement: Yea or nay Herr Cook? You saw fit to intervene earlier on your side's behalf--now stand up and tell us what Apple thinks about death threats.

Rush speculated today that it has been the targeting of a small group of people on twitter, who have managed to get everybody worked up about a law that it's unlikely to affect people the way Tim Cooke and the Justice Warriors are claiming.

Aridog said...

Why does anyone bother with Twitter? It's National Enquirer for small minds....and little capacity for cogent words. 3rd grader stuff at the most. And ... who who on earth cares what Cook says? Why?

Have we all gone flipping nuts?

Consider this: it's the brevity. The 144 character limit forces concision.

I used to write patent claims which also prized brevity--the fewer the words, the broader the claim (in general). Poets probably get the same sense of satisfaction, using less to say more.

Notice he didn't say "Won't serve Gays" - he said "Won't cater to a Gay wedding".

Hypothetical? Of course, what person would cater their wedding with Pizza?

I did mine with KFC.

Rabel said...

Intimidation worked with gay marriage. Why should they stop there?

Rabel said...

I got married in Hawaii. It wasn't catered by a pizza place, but if it was I'd have ordered pies with ham and pineapple.

Pro tip: don't order the poi pizza.

Rabel said...

I'm not gay, but if I was I would want to marry my oral surgeon. Yesterday I had a little work done and tonight he called me at 8:00 PM to follow up and check on my well-being. Nothing remotely like that has ever happened to me in my years of medical care.

He's not gay either but it's all about who you love.

I'll add that he's extremely well paid.

Pardon my rambling, but my world has been turned upside down ever since I learned that Master Chef Ahoy is a big fan of Kroger brand frozen french fries. This does not compute.

Maybe I need stronger addictives.

During the Spanish Inquisition heretics were burned at the stake. During the French Revolution, those who were suspected of insufficient revolutionary fervor were punished by bring made to wear Freedom Caps. Such caps were filled with hot tar and put upon the offender's head. This cap caused the brain to boil within the skull. Most wearers died, but some survived with massive strokes.......The freedom caps were used to advance the cause of the enlightenment and to free civilization from such Church sponsored horrors as the Inquisition.......Is there any possibility that the bullied party in this case is the pizzeria owner? Is there any possibility that the media will report this case in a way sympathetic to the pizza owner?.....,.Show of hands. How many have heard of the Spanish Inquisition vs those who gave heard of Freedom Caps......Over several centuries the Spanish Inquisition knocked off about five thousand people. The French Revolution knocked off thirty thousand in one year.

Great comment, William. I never heard of Freedom Caps.

Yelp is taking down comments fast as they can but they cannot keep up with the hate.

And it's the really stupidly weird repeat-y kind of parrot-hate. How oafishly and how late these believer tagalong wannabees master their catechism.

But there were some HILARIOUS reviews that were moved up to tippy top that also disappeared.

"Thank you Memory Pizza for doing the right thing and sticking to your values so now I can eat a pizza without a flamer homosexual lusting over my steaming sexy man ass."

Or something close to that, and I crumpled laughing. Then all the rest is the crap kind of hate from all over the country all at once, exactly like Borg, except incoherent.

The cruel French revolutionaries referenced by William were the socialist city trash of their day and called themselves the sans-culottes because they were anti-short pants, which they saw as a sign of decadence. Their men only wore full length trousers.

I can see a clear line of succession between the brutal mob mentality of the sans-culottes and certain of today's LGBT supporters.

That may just be the Percocet talking.

Re: William.

The guy who heads Apple and his media lap-dogs and HIllary would LOVE Freedom Caps.

Imagine Freedom caps at one of HIllary's fun camps.

RE-education at its finest.

Count me skeptical of the tar-filled "freedom caps". The French revolution had plenty of horrors, but I don't see anything about tar filled hats. Link?

Welcome to Camp Hillary!

For you gentlemen we have a special surprise today. I'll bet you guys love the smell of fresh baked goods, don't you? Today we're going to bake some gay wedding cakes, something I'll bet you've never had the fun of doing.

Here at Camp Hillary we recognize that some of you may have religious objections to participating. We're all about freedom here so if that's the case why don't you mosey on over to Building C and get a Freedom Cap....

Chickelit .... I'll agree with you on the conciseness when the writer makes sense. How in the world do you manage to wade through the chaff is my question?

As usual, I agree with Jonah G on this matter.

I heard an item on NPR about that guy.

Apparently, that guy's life was destroyed. He lost a good job, resurfaced, got a new job, then lost that when his employer found out about his behavior toward the Chick-fil-A employee, and supposedly was living a pretty humble life at this point.

There seem to be a lot of hate filled assholes who are looking for an excuse to express their hate-filled assholerey

I know just the place for the hate filled to vent...join the Army or the Marines and get deployed where those that hate them outnumber them.

I suspect the first "snap" of a bullet passing close by their heads will tone down their attitude and induce another emotion...fear.

Interesting to note that the pizza woman was given a ton of money by sympathizers and the Chick Fil A hater can find a fellow Chick Fil A hater to offer him a job......I can't cite the book in which I read it, but I read about Freedom Caps in a legit history book. Just because you can't google it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist......I read somewhere that the life span of a galley slave was fairly short. They didn't have any type of sanitary facilities for chained slaves. They did their business where they sat. Disease ran rampant among them. You could smell a slave galley from two miles away. Galley ships weren't like the tinsel and glamour you saw in Ben Hur......I can't remember where I read that, but I read it.....,Some facts stick in the mind. The name of the book in which you read that fact does not.
