"Fake cop pulls over real cop"

"An off-duty police officer says he was driving in Dumfries when a man driving a Crown Victoria started to follow him. The officer says the driver turned on a spotlight that was attached to his car. Thinking it was a police officer, the off-duty officer pulled over, according to police."

"The driver of the Crown Victoria pulled alongside the off-duty officer... When the off-duty officer said he was a police officer, the other driver immediately sped away. The off-duty officer followed the car, and then the driver and passenger fled on foot."

Can't a criminal catch a break these days? You got cameras everywhere, armed citizen shooting back, and off duty cops just hanging around to screw up your day. There should be a subsidy or tax break for the unsuccessful criminal. Like a line on your tax form that asks: "Were you unsuccessful in an Eric Holder approved crime during the tax period?" Please enter your deductible costs associated with this loss?"
