You start with a CDC (crudely drawn cock) for nose and eyes smack dab in the middle of another CDC for face and turban. You will notice, once you notice, a lot of cartoon faces begin with CDC. Sometimes the nostrils are testicles and other times the chin is drawn as face testicles. Sometimes lashes are pubic hair. Sometimes you can turn them upside down and see something very rude indeed possibly amusing.
You have to start your drawing somewhere. Most cartoonists are acknowledged pervs. Who else is going to tell you these things?
It's what makes religionists so angry. Having what they do returned. They've been doing this same thing for centuries, drawing caricatures of Jews drawn with noses and faces of dicks. It's a thing.

I'm guessing that the primitives with the machine guns don't pick up on such subtleties.

At work, we often sit around a table designing some part we intend to make. It almost invariably starts out or goes through a stage where it looks just like a CDC.
Perhaps that's just what's going on in our heads, and it affects everything we do, or when GOD designed the universe she used the CDC as the basic building block of all things. The only item in the world that does not resemble a CDC is the real thing. I know because I actually have one (an ancient relic) hidden away that I only bring out on special occasions like parties or other gatherings that need a little comic relief.

I find that aggravating also. Maybe they do it out of a presumption of theological respect, the way someone of unclear beliefs might still say "Christ" when referring to Jesus.
To clarify, they should at least call him "the Muslim prophet."
