Guest Post: It was Mayor De Blasio who disrespected Officer Ramos funeral

Red Bill De Blasio has commented on the fact that some police officers turned their back on his empty eulogy at that funeral for Officer Liu. The Sandinista Mayor said:

“Those individuals who took certain actions this last week––or last two weeks, really––they were disrespectful to the families involved. That’s the bottom line. They were disrespectful to the families who had lost their loved one. And I can’t understand why anyone would do such a thing in a context like that.”

Let's review who was disrespectful and who was not. De Blasio did not show up for the wake for Officer Ramos until 9pm after it was over. He missed the eulogy from the Officer's minister and more importantly the moving tribute from his son. What did he possibly have to do that was more important than being there early to show his "respects?" This is the guy who went to the gym instead of attending the funeral of Herman Badillo who was a pioneering leader in the Hispanic Community. What does he have against Hispanics?

Did you ever attend a wake? What you do is you show up early and show your respects. You sit quietly and maybe say a prayer. You might participate when the priest or minister or rabbi says a prayer. Or not if it is not your tradition. You sit there and show your "respect." I have been at wakes and memorials and services for almost every religion and creed in my day and I always saw everyone show up on time and be respectful.

Unless they were worthless communist scumbags.

He didn't show up late for Officer Liu's service. He came. He stayed for fifteen minutes. FIFTEEN MINUTES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What did he have to do that was so important that he couldn't stay for more than the time it takes to fry up an eggroll? What does he have against Chinese people?

What does he have against Cops?

We know what he has against them. He had to warn his son that he might get killed by a racist cop when he is much more likely to get hit by lightning or eaten by a shark. He had to reinstate the Judge who let a perp walk who had posted terroristic threats against the NYPD just like the guy who ended up killing the two officers. He defended the chief of staff who has a boyfriend who is a career criminal. He has members of the his administration who post things like "Fuck the Police" on their twitter.

The proof is in the pudding. The pudding that is Al Sharpton that sits at his right hand when he makes decisions about policing the city.

I won't get into his wife and her associates and attitudes. I will just let you know that she wore a pair of jeans to the funeral.

Respect. Yeah. Right.

As clichéd as it may be...

Well said, Lem.

That triple monikered ass De - whoever is symptomatic of the rot that is our present political class. Though they have no class and certainly no sense of shame.

Is there really any question how the murdered cops would feel about De Blasio's words and behavior? Everyone knows the man is a scumbag now. The cops did show disrespect. That was their intention, and their target was De Blasio. I'm glad they did it, and my heart sunk when I read that many chose not to, and even saluted the asshole. It's hard to imagine a worse leader, and to show him respect is itself disrespectful of the city, the police, and the dead cops.

What he basically is showing, much like the Messiah, Rev Al, the Whigs, Lena Dunham, et al, is that we're living through the Second Gilded Age.

People got fed up then, too.

Interesting invocation of the Gospel According to Inspector Callahan.

Man, I'm having that déjà vu thing happening again all over the place. No really, I'm serial.

The thing is, de Blasio says they disrespected the grieving parties, and disrespected form, no, they disrespected you! and only you and in very good form. They didn't deliver the Bronx raspberry.

I see now bagoh20 says the same thing,

And all this cheers me on this day of mourning. Stick it to him, right where he feels it, in the ego and in the pocketbook by drastically decreasing citations.

Bronx cheer, that's where you make your mouth into the shape of an "o," stick your tongue through the "o" and blow air so that your tongue vibrates and you deliver a fine spray of spit.

There are also appropriate Italian sign language movement involving a karate chop to the inside of the opposing elbow resulting in an upturned fist.

Also a bugger flicking motion.

But none of that was done, demonstrating restraint and class, Man, pure class.

Two NYPD officers have just been shot in the 46th precinct in Bronx. Search underway for perps. No report on officers' condition.

Mayor Bloomberg talks to his daughter: "You know, honey, most black people are fine upstanding citizens, but the world is a hard place. When you see a group of young black men walking towards you, be sure to cross the street. Never get into the elevator by yourself with a young black man. Even if there are other people present, make sure you grip your purse tightly.." Not all fatherly advice is meant to be shared with the world.

Both officers are expected to survive.

Funny thing...my daughter is bi-racial and I never thought to inform her of such precautions, other than be careful about your surroundings per se. Color, race, or ethnicity was never mentioned. Honesty was the principle point of our discussions on conduct, as well as be a friend to whomever you choose, and don't dismiss those you know need that friendship....e.g., don't be a "Heather" or submit to peer pressure. Think for yourself. She has lived up to those values, and I am very proud of her.

I was prepubescent during the 60's, so for me they didn't seem to be a period of social unrest as they are widely described. They were just fun childhood years. I wonder if we are in or entering a period that will be remembered for it's social unrest and racial discord. The boomer radicals are getting what they always wanted - a return to the 60's, but with them in charge this time. Turns out they are worse than their parents, with less interest in reason, honesty, or justice.

I just read about the shot NYPDs in the Bronx.

bagoh20 ... I was a late teen and early twenty something in the 1960's, at two very liberal universities. The boomers you cite are doing exactly what you predict, but the truth is that they have no idea of what the 60's were really all about, nor did they experience any of the strife included in those times. I did.

In short, they are using their imaginations to create a world format they have only heard about or read about, with multiple errors in the telling, and proving their ignorance with every step they take. De Blasio, born in 1961 is a classic example. Al Sharpton, born in 1954 was a mere 10 years old at the height of the civil rights movement, and has no direct experience in it either.

Speaking of racism and returning to the strife of the 60's, that Kevin Sorbo who played Hercules is a total strife-filled racist hippy.

Know what he said? He actually posted this on Facebook.

He said he saw a blind old cowboy walk into an all female biker bar. Then walked into the table, then walked into the cigarette machine, then finally walked into a stool and sat down on it and yelled out to the whole place, "Hey! Anybody want to hear a blond joke?

Imagine that asshole.

A woman sitting next to him goes, "Yeah. I do. But first you should know a few things. One, the bartender is a blond with a baseball bat and an attitude. Two, the bouncer is blond. And three, I'm six feet tall, 180 pound myself. I got a black belt in karate and I'm blond. Four, the woman I'm sitting next to is a professional weight lifter and also blond. And five, the woman sitting on the other side of you is a professional wrestler and she's blond too! So knowing all that, Hotshot, do you still want to tell your joke?

The blind cowboy thinks for a second and goes, "Nah. Not if I'm gonna have to explain it five times.

While switching channels, honest I didn't set out to watch the bachelor, I just stopped and stayed long enough to remember why I don't watch.

One of the woman, there were more than 25 this season for whatever reason, one of the women tried to tell a joke and it didn't go very well.

The problem with New York is that NY is so solidly blue the candidate pool is increasingly bad and idiocracy. The only selections worthy of such a high minded electorate are self-centered narrow-minded far-leftwing democrats.

Sucks to be you, NY.

The other problem, which is not limited to NY but is a national disgrace, is the state of our media. They search out bogus slights against any member of the GOP while democrats in high places get full passes for disgraceful and/or corrupt behavior. *Cough* Andrew Cuomo.

No surprise. The Mayor ran a campaign against the police. He's fulfilling his campaign promise by being against the police.

He has integrity. He hates the police. He ran against them. He's still against them.

End of story.

Milwaukee has its own Michael Brown case. A black man named Dontre Hamilton was shot by a white Milwaukee Police Dept officer after Hamilton took the officers baton and was beating the officer in his head with it. The officer suffered a concussion and brain damage.

A grand jury, followed by an outside investigator, found that the officer was justified in shooting Hamilton.

There have been protest. Jesse Jackson has been here. Outside (white) organizers have been leading the protests. An interstate has been closed. The protesters want another trial in which the officer is found guilty and sent to prison for life. You get the picture.

A continuing question has been how is funding the protests. Well, now there is an answer, in the article I have linked below. Money is coming from the National Education Association and its Wisconsin chapter, the Wisconsin Education Association.

The teachers' union. One more reason why the public school system should be fully de-unionized or shut down.

One of the full-proof ways I use to decide how to vote in elections is to vote against whatever the teachers' union endorses. Sometimes the laws up for vote here in California are confusing or portrayed in the media in a dishonest way, and you can't figure it all out in time. Everytime I do understand it clearly, the teacher's union has been on the wrong side of it and often is a major player telling the lies about it, so my method seems pretty reliable.

Well then -- now I see Trooper posted it. So thanks for posting it Lem, and Troop, here's my applause for you {{}}
