2014 is the Year of the Liberal Lie

by Kyle Smith writing for NYPost.

POW! Right in the kisser. Kyle Smith does not hold any punches. No fairsies, I thought we were going to shake hands first. Did you have to hit so hard?

Kyle Smith starts out by listing then discusses several 2014 doozies in stream of consciousness style.
Bowe Bergdahl. The IRS’s missing e-mails. Lena Dunham. “Hands up, don’t shoot.” Jonathan Gruber. GM and that faulty ignition switch. Andrew Cuomo and that anti-corruption commission. The Secret Service and that White House intruder. Rachel Noerdlinger and her “disabled” son. Rolling Stone and gang rape
The Andrew Cuomo anti-corruption commission one, I am not familiar. Apparently Cuomo promised a commission with carte blanche but when evidence led the commission to subpoena a company that placed ads for Democrats including Cuomo then an aide put on the kibosh. Thus the eighteen month plan initiated with much fanfare was abruptly quietly ended at nine months.

Neither was I familiar with Rachel Noerdlinger controversy, but now that I read through, it does ring a few bells. She was hired at $170,000 a year as chief of staff to first lady of NYC, yet had two serious unresolved tax problems easily managed with such a large salary. She failed to disclose she was living with a felon, and worse than all that, she had special privileges to avoid living in New York City by claiming her son suffers serious handicap requiring them to live near their doctor in New Jersey. Her son the football player. Kyle Smith says Mayor De Blasio was enraged -- that anyone would point out her lies. What have we come to, asks De Blasio, when people go digging around the personal lives of public servants? The audacity!

I recommend following the link, it is a thrilling good fast read. All recap.

But all that is how conservative people think. They're not even considered lies by liberals. What do liberal people think is important when it comes to lies in 2014?

Huffington Post helpfully lists them for us.

10) Alisha Jasmine Hessler's lie about having a third breast surgically implanted was exposed when she claimed stolen luggage and and signed a list that included a 3 breast prosthesis. The claim was published on smoking Gun.

photo included for your lascivious satisfaction.

9) Kim Kardashian said that the photos she did to break the internet, although they are mentioned 178,000 times on Twitter, "I love the photos. I did it for me."

8) Footage presented on Discovery Channel for Shark Week of a megalodon attacking a sperm whale is faked.

7) Seven million automobiles are potentially affected by lies told by Takata, a Japanese air-bag company

6) False Secret Service report regarding White House break in. *ding* we have a match with conservative point of view.

5) Donald Sterling private conversation that was recorded and used for extortion is revisited, although no actual lie is cited.

4) USC football player Josh Shaw lied about two ankle sprains suffered by jumping from a second floor balcony to save his young nephew from drowning in a pool, but he was actually fleeing the scene of a fight after the police were called.

3) Rolling Stone's bogus rape story *ding* a second match with conservative point of view

2) This government does not torture people, five people pictured, all Republicans, of course.

1) Putin, no troops in Ukraine.

Wow. No Democrat lies. None. That's really something. I don't imagine there will be any convincing any of them of their debilitating blind spot. No red-tipped white canes needed here, no seeing-eye dogs required, no Siree. No lies whatsoever emanating from federal government, none from the DoJ, none from the White House, none from IRS, nothing from State. All that is small potatoes. Astounding. It's all popular culture, all foreign governments. The only thing close is the Secret Service thing and that is as much misstep and incompetence as lies and CIA from previous administration. Bush and Cheeny still dominate their precious pointed little heads. What a beautiful thing it must be to living as partisan Democrat. How light and breezy and free of actual hard facts.

Well, that was worthless.

What does Washington Post say with their risible Pinocchios, surely a list by and for children?

* Obama: I didn't call the Islamic State a "JV" team.

* Rand Paul declared John McCain met with members of Islamic State

* Obama said "Republicans have filibustered 500 pieces of legislation."

* Paul Ryan lied about a boy's brown bag school lunch to make a point.

* Alison Lundergan Grimes a Democrat candidate lied about Mitch McConnell pocketing $600,000 from anti-coal groups.

* David Perdu, Republican ran ads claiming Michelle Nunn's Points of Light Foundation funded organizations linked to terrorists.

* Democrat Agenda Project Action Fund ran ads claiming GOP budget cuts harmed the nation's ability to handle Ebola.

* National Rifle Association wrongly suggested in ads that Mary Landreau voted for enhanced background checks.

* Obamacare -- nobody gets anything right here.

     1) Durbin" "Ten million Americans have health insurance today who would not have had it without the ACA"

     2)  Obama: “We’ve got close to 7 million Americans who have access to health care for the first time because of Medicaid expansion.”

     3) Boehner: "There's been a net loss of people with health insurance."

     4) McConnell: “Only 64,000 Kentuckians have enrolled in Obamacare private plans, far fewer than 280,000 who received notices their plans were canceled.”

What, no mention of Gruber? Must not be important.

International Hall of Shame

Putin: “A referendum was held in Crimea in full compliance with democratic procedures and international norms.” *ding* we have a match with liberal point of view.

NBC's "Today" show - a major member of the democrat media industrial complex - a corrupt and egregious member with a happy face - will showcase Lena Dunham on their show this week.

Lena was raped by the entire GOP.

Matt Lauer will do anything to get laid. It's pathetic, really.

None mentioned the bogus 1 out of 5 women raped on campus figure, propounded by Obama and so-called feminists ad nauseam based on a clearly bogus survey designed specifically to produce such and outrageous number, a survey ordered by the White House so that it can impose title IX rules that deny due process legal rights to males on campus. nor the rape glam culture that is developing. None of them went into the details of that -- community activism, disruption on a national scale leading to all types of lawsuits damaging to universities, a new system that Harvard is still using.

None mentioned the immigration.

None mentioned the rancher who held long term ranging rights to public land that ran up against Harry Reid's interest in using the same land for solar collectors, a dispute involving an endangered species that was not endangered, and actually killed a number of those same animals.

One did mention Ferguson but not the lie about denying the chant for wanting dead cops NOW! And getting dead cops now. Again, community activism --> disruption on a national scale. The sparking event occurred on Long Island, so why "hands up" protests across the whole nation, the NBA, in congress, in Berkley, in Manhattan, if not organized nationally?

Government shutdown blamed on Cruz for demanding discussion on extending the mandate. It was actually Obama who did not bend, but all blame (in my view congratulations) reported as purely on Cruz for not going along. An extension that was eventually granted by executive order. So two lies important lies right there, in my view. Leading to closing of parks and exposing National Park Rangers as nothing short of brown shirts willing to act on anything the president says. Even leading to the plowing over of the highly touted national garden ostensibly for lack of federal workers where actually it required more workers to kill a project Michelle had no more interest.

Feminism in general going right off the rails, blaming a scientist for damage against women for wearing a sexy shirt instead of a boring shirt. "Thanks for ruining my enjoyment of this scientific achievement" It wasn't ruined. In fact, it made her day, her week, her month, her year, her whole career. Her career is based on her fake-ass umbrage along with her ability to assemble a squadron of like-minded flying monkeys to drive her insane point until the whole world is talking about her and her obsession.

None mentioned gamer gate based on lies about an exclusive world of gamers.

None mentioned school lunches program driven by unelected first lady obsessed with unearned power and her white house cook (who has since resigned because he cannot take the overbearing nagging perfectionist) whose education is history, not nutrition, but who learned to cook from a friend and operated a Chicago restaurant. Said to be Obama's private chef, but actually ran a service from his restaurant that planned weekly meals for busy executives that they reheated themselves. It's from him that Michelle gets all her information about nutrition, as if he and as if she are some kind of experts. All by manipulating federal funds.

It used to be "Leave us alone" and now it's become "Bake us a cake or else." Bogus out of town activist insisting an isolated Christian bakery bake them a wedding cake when hundreds of other bakeries are available. The baker was force to comply and force to provide reports to the Colorado state and force to attend some kind of sensitivity training. All so much bullshit. Again, activism --> disruption on a national scale.

The democrat media industrial complex have been reporting false rape statistics right and left.

Heard it with my own ears on a local "news" station the other night.

Is this rape meme for Hillary and Bill? I'm confused?

Journalism in America has hit rock bottom.

Wow, Kyle Smith. My favorite columnist in my favorite paper, the NY Post. He's fearless, with, as Hemingway would say, a flawless horseshit detector. And his interests go way beyond politics. For example, he's one of the best, IMO, movie critics.
