Here is a link to an interview of Hillary Clinton by Charlie Rose (about four minutes).

Do you agree with Hillary's take on shot down plane?

Don't hold back, Meth.

I actually voted Yes, in the sense that I agree to put pressure on the rest of Europe to take action.

The cows out of the barn in terms of the US being the World Police. Obama made sure that we were to weak to do it anymore. I preferred the warm security of US military power, but if we can't have it, then the world can deal with their own problems.

Of course, that's lala land. Europe has no ability to stand up to Russia. Hate her or not, she's right about Western European dependence on Russian gas. And Europe doesn't have the military nor fortitude.

So get ready for it, Russia will get away with this. This will be like Benghazi, except that Obama can say, "hey, I'm not responsible for securing Malaysia Airlines, I'm going back to my burger."

What answer?

She's such a opportunistic hag. Really - this was all scripted. She's disgusting.

Can someone please put this insufferable cunt down so we don't have to deal with her anymore. Good God. Enough. DIE you elephant cankeled bitch. DIE!!!

Next few years are gonna be some tough years for you buddy.

Even though I voted, can't stand... I listened. She makes some sense but I think Leland above makes more. Doesn't mean though that I don't also agree with some of the more harsher opinions here.

Hillary's tanking but at least she can put words together into sentences in response to a question. Brave Fauxcahontas (D., Second String) scarpered when asked for her opinion about the Israel/Gaza hostilities.

Brave Sir Robin ran away
Bravely ran away away ...
When danger reared its ugly head
She quickly turned her tail
and fled
Bravely taking to her feet
She beat a very brave retreat
Rather than inform the mob
That killing juice presents a prob
When running for* the POTUS job

*afterwards it's fine - just don't get caught

As I said elsewhere, the last time we left it to the Euros, some guy with a stiff arm ended up running everything from Moscow to Calais.

Did she blame Bush? I am not going to listen, and when you get right down to it, I don't give a hoot what she says.

She's slouching.

She looks tired.

The bright lights are accentuating the surgery around her eyes.

Must be a grueling book tour. Was there something else?

If WWIII is acoming, I say that this time we call dibs on the Germans. Sure, they got nothing right now, but they have shown a talent for manning-up in a hurry. On the QT too.

Angela looks pretty good in a uniform. Might need to change out those old insignia. Or maybe not - everything between Berlin and Moscow would just lay down if they saw that coming.

Does she talk about bloody underwear and missing evidence while larfing herself silly and wondering what difference any of it makes after all?

I can't look. Terrified, I am, at what I might see this time around. If only I had a pair of prism glasses, maybe I could better tolerate imbalance and dysfunction.

I note that she made no effort to distinguish herself from BHO's policies, so Deborah, I'm still not buying her shtick.

I voted "It's complicated." Europe weaning itself from Russian gas is as idiotic as us weaning ourselves from Canada's wealth of resources. It's a haves vs. have nots situation. Europe needs to figure what -- if anything -- that they have which Russia lacks but needs and go from there.

I think we're all agreed that Angie is a better man than Little Zero (but, then, who isn't?).

It's a shame that Charlie Rose wasted his time interviewing Hillary Clinton. Perhaps he's hoping to worm his way into her circle of sycophant journalists

If Rose wanted actual, well founded answers, he should have interviewed John Bolton.

Hillary cannot win as BHO with balls. It won't work. It will rip the nation in two.

rcocean said...

She's the front runner for 2016!

If you don't want "President Hilary!" you'll have to think of a good Republican alternative.

And no, running McCain or Romney won't do it.

rcocean said...

I just hope the Republicans won't nominate Romney or Christie and then "fall in line and support our nominee"

'Cause that means President Hillary.

BTW, Obama has really turned into a joke - on us. Whether its letting illegals aliens invade the country, pushing some unconstitutional executive order, or just not caring about nothing except having a beer.

Even Billy Bob Clinton *pretended* to care about the USA.

Hill needs to Botox that upper lip. Makeup can handle the cheeks and help with the eyes. The neck wattle, well, there's always turtlenecks.

XRay said...

He would never do that, interview Bolton, he'd get his ass ripped two ways from Sunday. Though I would pay to watch it.

deborah said...

Chick, not suggesting you buy her shtick, or anything else.

I thought she made sensible points, but you're right about the oil. Besides I read somewhere that Europe is locked into 30-year contracts right now.

We've got a lot going on. I think Europe and Russia will work things out okay; Europe want fuel and Russia wants validated. We'll see.

This jet downing is really the worst for Putin.

Leland said...

The solution to Russian gas is getting it from Azerbaijan via Turkey. The pipelines and fields are already being developed, but won't be operational until 2016 (they hope) at the earliest, more likely 2018. But it will only work if Europe is strong enough to keep Azerbaijan independent.

What are we supposed to do about this, send the Marines into Vladivostok and the Army into Moscow? The Russians have one of the two great nuclear arsenals on earth. Which is their get out of jail free card, so long as they don't invade any important countries.

We didn't do anything meaningful when KAL 007 got shot down by the Soviets (and that had a sitting US Congressman on board), and we won't now, and for the same set of reasons. Those reasons can be measured in kilotons and megatons.

deborah said...

I'm thinking you mean the Nabucco, which I had look up. From 2011:

"MOSCOW (Reuters)—Moscow said the European Union should halt talks on a proposed Caspian Sea pipeline to carry natural gas to Europe, characterising the bloc’s involvement in the project that would by-pass Russia as “meddling” that could add to tensions in the region."

reuters

Russia at one time was going to be a part of this pipeline. I don't know the current status.

There was talk that one reason for the Syrian uprising was so one of the Gulf states could run a pipeline through it.

And props to Ice who said a while back that Russia wasn't that interested in stabilizing the ME re radical Islamists because of their own oil interests. IIRC.

Te same can be said of us as we become self-sufficient again.

deborah said...

So we really have a lot of oil? That must be fracked? And fracking is really safe re water supply? I just don't know.

chickelit said...

There's lots of oil under L.A. and also offshore. Off limits for now but not forever.

chickelit said...

And no, I'm not getting paid by the Koch Bros to say these things.
