Baby in the mirror... Man In The Translucent Material

The wonder of discovery...

***

Forbes: For someone who passed away half a decade ago, Michael Jackson seems very much alive. This year alone has seen the King of Pop continue a permanent show in Las Vegas (One, a collaboration between the singer’s estate and Cirque du Soleil), tour the world (via Immortal, another joint venture) and release a new album (Xscape).

Then, last month at the Billboard Music Awards, Jackson came to life in the form of a hologram-like illusion—and performed the song “Slave To The Rhythm” from his latest posthumous album as millions watched from home. The spectacle is still making waves due to continued discussion by viewers (as well as news of dueling multimillion-dollar lawsuits by rival illusion-making outfits over ownership of the technology employed to bring back Jackson).

I really miss the old days when dead celebrities stayed dead.

America cannot balance a budget, understand basic math, or elect people who are smart and capable and not full of racist gravy train bullcrap.
... but we can obsess over our crotches and synchronize dance, baby.

Michael Jackson is much more useful dead. He was an embarrassment to the people who just wanted to use him to make money for them.

Being dead, he's very passive. Just does what he's told.

He was dead a long time before he died, of course, so this is something his handlers have long worked on.

Ok.... that was cute in the baby video.... but I can't begin to tell you how old and annoying that trick and fake laugh is going to get. The kid better learn some other tricks soon.

No one likes a one trick pony.

Skipping Michael Jackson?

Extraordinary talent.
You know the saying "he died before his time?" He didn't.

Not skip[ping, him, hes gone. What I am skipping is the money grubbing family of his that find him more useful dead than alive.

I worked security for his Detroit stops of the purported Jackson Family Victory Tour in 1984, as I did evenings and weekends for several concerts in those days, and by far it was the most disorganized cluster bang I haver seen, bar none. (Best managed and disciplined was Prince) Every Jackson relative with a drop of blood relationship was on the payroll, and the family made money, Don King made money, and the promoter Don Sullivan went bankrupt and had worse problems with a NFL franchise and stadium than good ole Don Sterling.

Michael donated his proceeds to various charities, as the show was his homage (allegedly) to his family, not supposed to celebrate him. However, not one of the cuts of the family's Victory album was sung...Micheal was the whole show, the rest of the Jacksons down to the last snot nosed know nothing, were purely the comical entertainment. Michael Jackson announced at the end of the embarrassment that he would never again appear with his family....in fact he had not traveled with them nor stayed with the the entire tour. He'd show up in the middle of the first song, via armored car to the stadium stage, then leave by the same method before the last tune.

He was a memorable part of MoTown in its glory days. Now he is a scab his family continues to pick for money.
