She probably thought it was high pitched because she can probably sort of "hear" really low pitches and really deep vibrations, just not in her ears.
Great insight, Synova, I wondered about how she would have a reference point.
Compensation methods for the deaf/hard of hearing could be said to be as sophisticated as the blind/hard of seeing. I would imagine.
I had a deaf friend in the 70's and he could feel vibrations from music in his ears.
