International Mosaiculture Exhibition Montreal 2013

Much more at My Virtual Garden

Click over if you like artistic gardens there is one of a Viking coming out of the ground with moose antlers grabbing a snake in the forest and the snake curls around the whole forest, you gotta see it. The snake cannot even fit in the photograph.

These take fussy gardens to another level. It takes a team of specialist to pull off each sculpture. From the official website, mosaiculture is horticulture art involving creating and mounting living artworks made of plants with colorful foliage, mostly annuals, a complex form requiring the skill sets of participating artists planning and building the framework, matching its colors, and understanding the maintenance of each plant. And that is all very fussy and stunning.

Amazing garden.

Is that last one at the bottom real? Touched up maybe?

What a wonderfully eclectic couple days here at Lems. All kinds of great stuff by the contributors. Very cool! Thanks all.

What's the difference between great art and shrubbery? About two to three weeks. It's easier to work with clippers and hedges, but, in the long run, the extra effort required with chisels and marble really pays off.
