"So let me be clear about this. An important part of the Affordable Care Act
takes effect tomorrow no matter what Congress decides to do today. The
Affordable Care Act is moving forward. That funding is already in place. You
can’t shut it down. This is a law that passed both houses of Congress; a law
that bears my signature; a law that the Supreme Court upheld as constitutional;
a law that voters chose not to repeal last November; a law that is already
providing benefits to millions of Americans in the form of young people staying
on their parents’ plan until they’re 26, seniors getting cheaper prescription
drugs, making sure that insurance companies aren't imposing lifetime limits when
you already have health insurance, providing rebates for consumers when
insurance companies are spending too much money on overhead instead of health
care. Those things are already happening."

The Obamas are known to eat quite well, at least in public, where they can be seen frequenting trendy spots around Washington and landing in over-priced restaurants aimed at vacationers when they’re in Hawaii and Martha’s Vineyard. At home in the White House, a team of chefs plans menus for the Obamas and prepares an endless series of tasty meals.
But the government shutdown presents the terrifying prospect that the Obamas may have to defrost a package of Lean Cuisine or open a can of meat ravioli.
I'm not sure what to make of all this talk about ObamaCare so I think maybe I'll go contract some sort of horrible disease in the interest of science.

I don't remember seeing that choice on my ballot.
Dictators don't discuss. Dictators pass crap legislation in the dead on night on party line vote.
Other things happening: People will have to pay more for pacemakers, crutches, etc.
But, that will make them cheaper, because, science.

So then: similar to the immigration laws you don't enforce?
Obamacare was passed on party line vote and upheld, in part, by ONE GUY on the Supreme Court.

For once, I agree with Mortuary Bob. This is all Choom's doing so he can look tough.

PS One good thing about the shutdown, the death panels don't get paid.
You know what else was the law of the land: the debt ceiling. So why was the Senate writing laws and Obama signing them knowing they were violating the law of the land?
Whenever he says, "let me be clear..." or some derivative of that, he's going to politically posture. Oh wait.

Clear thinking like that should allow me to state that each and every Obama voter chose approval of late term abortions (which also wasn't on the ballot). If you chose Obama, phx, I therefore despise you.
