Tea Party

Yesterday:
Now, we are hearing reports that the House Leadership might actually vote on a Continuing Resolution (CR) that funds the government, but stops funding Obamacare. If they actually pull through - this could be huge - and again it is all thanks to yoru hard work. But, we must not let up right now. We must keep the pressure on.
Today:
John Boehner and his “Republican” cronies in the House are trying to use a procedural trick that will end up funding Obamacare at 100% while allowing them to still claim to be in favor of stopping it.
Speaker Boehner is trying to commit political fraud. He believes people like you and me are too dumb to understand what he is up to. He believes he can slip this funding bill through right under our noses!
They go on to urge patriots to call Boehner and give him the business. Whenever I try to contact somebody in government they weed me right out. I cannot proceed beyond the first page that demands, "And who are you, exactly?" If the zip code doesn't match then piss off. Must I lie and enter the wrong zip code? Should I lie all the way through misrepresenting myself as their direct constituent, when actually I'm just a regular guy from another place trying to boss them around?

The really disturbing thing is that, once again, neither the administration nor the Congress is pursuing a formal budget. Merely another CR, like the last 4. We no longer actually have a budget process....CR's mean much less oversight and much more malfeasance.

Which, is exactly what the administration wants, and Congress has decided it is good for them too.

Wait! There's more.

Patriots,

We will be hosting an emergency tele town hall tonight at 5pm EDT to discuss the latest update on the Continuing Resolution and the efforts to defund Obamacare. Congressman Tom Graves and Congressman Mark Meadows will be joining us on the call and we are working to secure others who have been leading the effort to defund Obamacare as well.

What we learned this morning is that the House GOP will allow for a vote on a Continuing Resolution that funds the government at the current levels (that includes sequestration levels) while fully defunding Obamacare. The thing we need to watch out for is to make sure that once this passes the Leadership in the House doesn't decide to roll over and immediately negotiate out of it. We need them to stand firm if this is the avenue that they are going to take.

We will discuss all of that tonight on the call. Please join us if you can and encourage others to sign up here.

The last time I did a conference call set up by somebody else I ended up with $60.00 tacked onto my phone bill. And the only thing they said was what I already told them the third party said. The exact same thing. All it did was confirm.

And I do agree we need to go back to where we actually have a formal BUDGET.

Up here in our little corner of Hell, California. Some of the Counties are making resolutions that we should withdraw from the State and start a separate State. Do we really think it likely that it will happen or that one or two counties can make it happen. Fuck no!. But....we have to at least try and to send the message to Sacramento that we hate everything they are doing. Even though we are 99% likely to NOT get a separate State, we HAVE to at least try.

"CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Clinic has told workers they will be laying off an unspecified number of employees as part of an overall, sweeping cost-reduction plan.

Clinic CEO Dr. Toby Cosgrove discussed the looming cuts and changes in a Wednesday morning all-employee meeting.

Clinic spokeswoman Eileen Sheil denied circulating rumors that employees were told there would be 3,000 jobs cut.

She said any layoffs will be part of a multi-year plan to cut $330 million from the Clinic's budget.

She attributed most of the budget reductions to looming changes accompanying the start of the Affordable Health Care Act.

Sheil said the Clinic had not made overall layoffs in the past 11 years.

She added that any layoffs would be across the board, including doctors.

It borders on farce, hoping the GOP will hang tough on defunding Obamacare or on anything else for that matter. Yes, enough pressure will produce a gesture but never a definitive action. If the TEA Party can't wrest control of the GOP then the GOP must be abandoned, go the way of the Whigs, DIE. At that point, perhaps, full unfettered communism will implode the economy and the country and something like a refounding might happen. But to hang onto the hope that Boehner/McConnell & Co. will ever take back lost ground? Puhleeze.

DBQ, even after the 2010 elections, Urkel still got this rammed through congress and the Senate with back room deals and selling out the American people only to have it re-affirmed as a giant fuck you by CJ John Roberts when he had it dead to rights in his sights to kill once and for all. This shit sandwich will be here to stay and there is really nothing at this point we can do about it. Holding it hostage in lieu of a government shutdown will do nothing and will only play to Urkels hands in showing that Republicans want to kill babies and drink their blood, but only the white and Syrian babies because killing and drinking the blood of inferior minorities is racist, GOP'er and teapartiers just want to rape old ladies and throw the indigent over a cliff and any other sundry horror that the democrat party has been able to propagandize against conservatives and republics just so they can hide what a hideous ideology they cling to all so they can spend trillions of dollars, steal trillions more from those that make it to those that don't all in the name of PC, diversity, wealth redistribution, and control of an the whole economy.

It's a scam, we've been sold out and this is the endgame of this legislation. Republicans have shown themselves to be feckless and cowards letting themselves be attacked daily without uttering a single word in retaliation. There should have been daily republican responses to the utter lies promoted by the Urkel administration on TV and radio and instead all we got was double talk. America is finished and it's clearly obvious that republicans have been basically in lockstep with democrats minus the handholding. It's disgusting.

Two hospitals closed in Brooklyn. Long Island College Hospital on Atlantic Ave in Cobble Hill and Interfaith also on Atlantic Ave in Bed Stuy.

These are two hospitals that cared mostly for poor people. Or Middle Class people. The pressure put on health cared destroyed them as the big corporations run by the state closed them down in favor of hospital in better neighborhoods.

More and more of this will happen because of Obama care. The rich will be able to get treatment by paying out of pocket. The poor will not. Everything they say about it is a lie. It will lead to rationing of healthcare. It will be the destruction of the very people it purports to help.

Trooper York said...

Well you should, just as I have, other than local politicians that I KNOW. They only wanted between $25 and $1000 this time, they got zero. I threw that solicitation in the trash.

I even prefer Democrats to RINO's, because as sluts they at least kiss you before they fuck you ... RINO's are like whores, they just fuck you, take your money, and expect you to say thanks.

It may not amount to much, but we need to start making noise.

Interesting -- here in NC we have a bunch of people jockeying for the Republican primary to oust Sen. Kay Hagan (D). A new dude has thrown his hat in -- big cheese conservative Baptist, but his campaign is being run by a dyed in the wool RINO (Ripon guys = Rockefeller Repubs., H.W. Bush, Dole, opposed Goldwater, opposed Reagan...) Instead of focusing on Hagan they are trying to divide the voters and pull them away from supporting Greg Brannon, a solid conservative, small government Tea Party favored guy who is a physican.

The Republican party is doing itself and the voters no good. With all that is going on voters are not going to go away. And they are plucking the chickens.

I just finished a good memoir by Richard Russo. Empire Falls is the best seller written by Russo. The memoir, On Helwig Street, is about growing up in Gloverville, NY w/ his single mom. Russo's dad is also in the memoir, you'll recognize him as Sully, in the flick, Nobody's Fool. However, the main character in this honest memoir is Russo's mother, Jean. With great insight and honesty Russo lets us see just how insane his mother was and what an enabler he was. There's a summer when Russo was in college where he returns home from Tuscon[U. of Arizona] to work construction w/ his old man. During a caual conversation his dad says about his ex wife and Russo's mom, "She's crazy, you know." It was startling to the 19 year old young man because mom was his sun and moon. Over the next 50 decades you get to see just how crazy. It is sad but worth reading if you're a fan of Russo. Or, if you have an interest in OCD, it is a case study documented by a good writer.
