Yemen new home for al Qaeda?

Nasir al Wihayshi

Yemen is speculated to become the new "strategic" home of al Qaeda. Nasir al Wihayshi , the head of AQAP (al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula),  is reported to be a very patient, soft-spoken man who is able to withstand pressure from top al Qaeda leader, Ayman al Zawahiri, "to act." Intercepted communications between the two have contributed to the the temporary closing and reinforcement of  22 American foreign offices.

The US and Britain have been issued warnings to their citizens to leave Yemen immediately, and have evacuated non-essential personnel.

DAMN!! I was going to take the family to Yemen on a camping vacation. What do you think about Syria, safer there?

Appeasement never works. An obvious truth that our best and brightest embassy closers will never glom onto.

Why not think closer to home? I hear Juarez is a nice, friendly town.

Fucking towel heads are about as competent as the camels they fuck. I don't believe any of it.

I guess it is "reasonable" to conclude that the US and UK telling it citizens to get out of Yemen is a traitorous act that emboldens the terrorists; are some silly argument like this.

Seems like a prudent step to me, but YMMV. At least we don't have a President that goes to war with other nations without Congressional consent; oh wait...

Leland, it would "reasonable" to never go to one of the various assholes of the world in the first place.

Where's the money to fund Al Qaeda coming from? Bomb them.

Sorry, the Saudi royal family is off limits for a variety of reasons, but mostly about 9 million barrels a day worth of reasons.

If the Choom Gang ever gets out of the way so we can exploit our own energy, the Saudis can go back to herding camels.

Nick, I think it was William who joked other day that Gaza Strip was probably the safest place in the ME.

Yeah, that'll happen.

And it doesn't matter how much we pump. China and India both need more and more, and Europe* and Japan don't have enough for their own use anyway.

Plus, as long as the towel heads can pump cheaper than everyone else, they'll still be players.

* I might be wrong about Europe, but I don't think so.

Juarez or the Gaza Strip? Hmmmm, I think Juarez. I can speak a little Spanish and I have always wanted to see a headless corpse. I read there are new ones laying on the street every night.

Made a good run, but I run too slow,
They overtook me down in Jaurez, Mexico.

If al Qaeda was actually on the run, they stopped running when they got to Yemen.

We cannot frack fast enough. Oil and natural gas; we have it in abundance here. But president Hussein ain't on our side.
