100% rendered images

There is a whole page of them. Alex Levcenko at Gizmodo says, "Each one is completely synthetic; every single detail generated by madly talented 3D artists."

Artist: Leandre Hounnake

Among other encomiums Gizmodo says about this, "Look at this perfect combination of black and red. Yeah, I am speechless. That’s it."

Wow. That's all you can say. The level of rendering like this bridges the gap between reality and CGI. There is no longer a distinction anymore and therefore should be acknowledged.

You guys should wander around the deviant art Web site. Amazing stuff by ultra-talented people. Of course there is a lot of render crap, too, lol.

I love hornbills. They are fascinating.

Yet it is not a hornbill...or even a pipe.

I get the same feeling from this I got from first seeing people backpacking with a GPS.

As if I needed yet another reason not to bother teaching myself how to draw.
